Tradition Sports reloads the TCBL with MLB 12 The Show

Spring is in the air and the MLB regular season is right around the corner. While this is an exciting time for all baseball lovers but gamers get a crack at the regular season a little over a month in advance with SCEA’s touted franchise MLB The Show. MLB The Show hit the stage just after the decline of EA Sports classic baseball simulation MVP Baseball. The MLB The Show development team has been hard at work, focusing on delivering one of the most realistic simulations games we have seen in our generation. It is not all ice cream and pancakes as many simulations gamers still comment that the MLB The Show franchise lacks a in-depth experience similar to Out of the Park Developments highly acclaimed text-sim OOTP.
Not only does the experience fail to meet the high expectations of a “true to life” GM, the tools developed for online play are far inferior to some of SCEA competitors in EA Sports and 2K Sports. Communities such as ours here at Tradition Sports and Operations Sports are continually asking for these fundamental upgrades that seam to go unrecognized. With such limited capabilities for perpetual online league play, many have questioned the ability to organize, maintain, and control a league that can last more than one season.
Now on to TCBL.
The Triple Crown Baseball league now aligns for it’s second iteration of the league, planning to utilize two of the most highly rated games on the market, MLB 12 The Show and OOTP13. President and TCBL Founder Emmdotfrisk, has established an elaborate plan to intertwine the two, allowing for the most realistic simulation experience on the web. “Be a GM,” is TCBL’s motto explains Emmdotfrisk. “Our owners did an incredible job last season and proved to me that it is possible to take this to the next level with MLB The Show.” Emmdotfrisk along with the four man executive team, Sdid22, BobJr, Ryty32, and ISL, convened late in last years title to discuss plans that are currently being carried. The team looks forward to displaying the specifics on the smoothness and complexity of the league to achieve the expectation of “Be a GM.”
TCBL started taking applications in December and saw tremendous buzz, gaining many concurrent followers and interest from Tradition Sports members. Without reaching externally to sites such as the show nation and operation sports, the TCBL applicant list peaked out 28. To build a strong foundation, the executive team voted to limit the GM’s to 20 and proceeded to vote and deliberate over the weekend.
After hours of research, communication, further questioning, and potential GM evaluation, the executive team, along with divisional managers MG, GTG, and content manager Controllerabuser, placed votes to decide the 20 members to be congratulated into the Triple Crown Baseball League.
The following 20 GM roster list marks the TCBL’s largest league roster with optimism for further growth:
