Hot! FIFA 13 : Manager Mode Details Revealed

EA SPORTS FIFA team has released information surrounding their Manager Mode in FIFA 13. They have definitely made the mode much deeper this year with international team inclusion and a much more in depth player negotiation system. A new transfer system has been introduced that will also factor in different aspects of players when calculating moves, such as form, age, morale, club rivalries, and the amount of time remaining on their contract. They have also added in player loans, board interactions and mid season coach firings.

This is all great news for a mode that has gone largely untouched, outside of be a pro integration, over the last few years. One glaring hole here though is the absence of an online representation of this mode. With Madden, NHL, NCAA all moving towards online perpetuating game modes, FIFA seems lost in the success of Be A Pro and Club teams. Don’t get me wrong, I love FIFA Clubs and it’s been a revolutionary advancement in how sports games are played online, but to ignore a traditional game mode is to heavy an expense for this gamer.

I want to see a fully functional online manager mode where me and 30 of my friends can spread out across the FIFA world and control our own organization from top to bottom and compete on more than just the pitch. There is no reason why this mode should not be in FIFA 13. The tech is there, the interest is there and the corporate direction seems to favor that type of game mode.

Let’s get it done in FIFA 14.
