If you don't believe recruting rankings matter, tomahawknation (my fellas) breakdown the impact and they do the research to back it up... Indulge yourselves if you have time to burn or bored as hell at work

I heard on ESPN Radio this morning the 4 teams that are picking up steam here at the end of recruiting are Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida State.

    Top Prospects (signed and unsigned)

    #1 ESPN and Rivals
    Jadeveon Clowney
    Link
Espn link and in this weeks issue
    defensive end
    Rock Hill, South Carolina
    Ht: 6'6"
    Wt: 247 lbs
    40: 4.6 secs

Thought to be one of the best prospects since they have been rankings recruits. Reminds you of Mario Williams (NC State, Houston Texans). Offers from every D1 school but his narrowed list: South Carolina, Clemson, Alabama, outside shot: Florida State and Florida.

after Jadeveon ESPN and Rivals don't agree on the scouting and ranking of prospects.

    #2 Rivals
    George Farmer
    Wide Receiver
    Gardena, California
    Ht: 6'2"
    Wt: 192 lbs
    40: 4.4 secs
    Shuttle: 4.44
    Vertical: 33 inches

    Committed: USC

    #3 Rivals and ESPN
    Link
    Cyrus Kouandjio
    Offensive tackle
    Hyattsville, Maryland
    Ht: 6'7"
    Wt: 322 lbs
    40: 5 secs

    Alabama, Auburn, Iowa

    #2 ESPN
    Anthony Johnson
    Defensive Tackle
    New Orleans, LA

    300 lbs

    Committed: LSU
    Also Considered:
USC Trojans, Oklahoma Sooners, Miami (FL) Hurricanes, California Golden Bears, Alabama Crimson Tide

    #7 Rivals
    Link
    Hasean Clinton-Dix
    Safety
    Orlando, Florida
    Ht: 6'2"
    Wt: 190 lbs

    Committed: Alabama
How in the world do the Florida schools let this kid leave the state?
    Like- Darren Sharper

    #8 Rivals #5 ESPN
    Link
    Karlos Williams
    Safety
    Davenport, Florida
    Ht: 6'2"
    Wt: 210 lbs
    40: 4.5 secs

    Committed: Florida State
    like- Adrian Wilson

    #9 ESPN
    Link
    Tony Steward
    Inside Linebacker
    St. Augustine, FL
    6'1"

undeclared and considering Florida State Seminoles, Clemson Tigers, UCLA Bruins. He is the #1 ILB and probably the top prospect in Florida. I would say he goes with Florida or Florida State on Wednesday.

A Look Back to the 2007 class and where are they now (LINK)
Dez Bryant, Joe McKnight, Jimmy Clausen, Eric Berry, etc...
    ESPNU150

    1-150

    one that made me LMAO!
    101. Willy Korn, QB (Duncan, S.C./James Byrnes)

In 2007, he appeared in two games. In 2008, he appeared in six games and made his first start in Week 7, but suffered a shoulder injury and had surgery later in the year. In 2009, he played in nine games, despite losing the starting job to Kyle Parker. He transferred to Marshall in hopes of competing for a starting QB job but was moved to safety. Korn transferred again to Division II North Greenville.

I didnt say they did not matter. I said that being #1 in recruiting does not a national champion make. FSU has alot of work to do before they sniff a Title game. The 2011 class for FSU could have used a decent QB. I just dont see Manuel getting the job done. Clemson had a pretty good haul, and V. Tech is always a force in the ACC.

I really do like where the author of that article claims the FSU has had terrible coaching for "much of the last decade". Another example of FSU fans and writers throwing Bowden under the bus.

The writers are pretty much unbiased but they believe that Bowden should have been out of there a long time ago, and they put a lot of the blame on coordinators not developing the talent. Amato, Jeff Bowden, and a few others were awful at coaching. Remember the name Coker, I believe he will develop fine as a QB for the Noles. Clemson, ahhh haha and VT always scares me but Beamer is only 2-13 or 2-14 against the Noles plus if we keep improving and developing no one in the ACC will challenge us.
