Gators' Top 3 2012 DL Recruits Yet To Report To Floridahttp://www.sbnation.com/college-foo...e-line-recruits-ncaa-report-florida-academicsBy Bud Elliott - College Football Recruiting Editor and AnalystFollow @sbnation on Twitter, and LikeSBNation.com on Facebook.Jun 29, 2025 - Florida's defensive line haul in the recruiting class of 2012 was quite impressive.Jonathan Bullard, a strong-side defensive end was rated fifth nationally among ends and tackles.Dante Fowler, of St. Petersburg, came in at 12th. Dante Phillips, of Venice (Fla.) checked in at 30th. That's two five-stars and a four-star, if you're scoring at home. Few teams signed a better crop of defensive line recruits in 2012.But they are only valuable to Florida if they get on campus. And so far, that hasn't happened. For any of the trio. sdid22 GoGators Mr2Bits

In the foreground, you'll note the stadium. That's Falcon Stadium, home of the Air Force football team. via @PatrickSandusky (oh lawd) Just an insane photo. Stay safe, Colorado friends.
really sad, embarrassing, etc, etc... news Freeh Report: Paterno Knew, Did not Help, & Tried To Stop Investigation
Fowler and Bullard are fine, Phillips was denied admission which is fine with me. He's visiting DA U this weekend.
Nothin to say sorry about man, I just read a little of that and something I agree with. Went out to bdubs last night with the girlfriend, asked her if she had heard about all the PSU stuff and explained to her the recent reports and everything. Then I said, well of course there is going to be some truth into it but then also there is going to be some fabrications. Then said we might never know the whole truth in what happened with the entire situation. There was more conversation but that was the stuff that related to your editorial piece and the report
I'm all about bringing justice to those responsible, even JP. Idgaf about the statue, tear it down....but FFS this pissed me off. It is like everyone wants to scream for justice and death penalties and such....but where is this truth? This is blatantly obvious disregard by Freeh and the media to release the entirety of their own findings. Release a 270 page report...see how many people are gonna read everything or the summary. It is absolutely absurd that the BOT (the ones paying for Freeh to do this investigation) are getting away now with this...
That article was god awful. Does Ziegler even bother to mention why the Freeh report doesn't include interviews with Paterno, Curley, McQueary and Sandusky? No? Probably because ALL of them were advised by their lawyers NOT to talk to Freeh at all. Can't imagine why. You're right, it is strange that the report is 270 pages long. Oh wait, no it isn't, because the report had to cover 14 years worth of information. Maybe if Paterno, Schultz, Spanier, or Curley had done something SOONER, the report wouldn't have had to have been as long. We won't ever have the whole truth of these terrible events. But there is one truth that is the most important: Sandusky is the monster but Curley, Spanier, Schultz and Paterno could have prevented every single incident post 2001. And they didn't. That's the real truth. (And that's giving them the benefit of the doubt about 1998, which they probably don't deserve.)
If I get pulled over without wearing a seatbelt I'm getting a ticket. Why should Greg Reid be any different.
That isn't what I am saying, the officer determine to pull him over because #1 of a seatbelt that he could supposedly see through the window tint... That is how I read it.
Who cares? He broke the law and got caught. Shit happens. Don't try to justify it or blame the trooper for doing his job.
Shaq Thompson Should Stick To Football http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/2012/7/15/3161564/shaq-thompson-baseball-stats-strikeouts by Brian Floyd • Jul 15, 2025 9:26 PM EDT University of Washington signee Shaq Thompson has aspirations to play baseball. Not massive ones, mind you, but he was drafted by the Red Sox in the 18th round of the 2012 MLB Draft. He even signed with the Red Sox -- and no, that doesn't mean he won't be on the field with the Huskies. But let's just say baseball hasn't been kind to Thompson this summer. Go ahead and look at his batting line. Don't worry, we'll wait. Thompson is 0-for-26 with the Gulf Coast League Red Sox. And of those 26 at bats, 25 have been strikeouts. And that one ball he did put in play? It was a weak groundout to first. Granted, this is an incredibly small sample size and he's probably adjusting to the pitching in minors ... but, dang. Striking out 25 times in nine games is no joke. Luckily, there's nowhere to go but up from here.

Penn State And The Death Penalty: A Body Count For The Sake Of A Body Count By Jason Kirk - College Football Editor Calling for Penn State to get the death penalty due to the Jerry Sandusky coverup? It might be helpful if we define exactly what the death penalty is and think about the total impact. Jul 16, 2025 - So, what is the death penalty? It's the unofficial term for when the NCAA refuses to sanction a school's participation in a sport. There's no way for the NCAA to prevent a school from playing a sport -- the NCAA would need guns and jails to do that -- but it can tell the rest of its members not to schedule the blackballed team. The NFL could erase a team forever, but the NCAA can only shut a team out of the NCAA. It's happened only five times ever. Skip this part if you're already familiar.
