Analysis:

Tim Thomas was magnificent, as the Blackhawks despite having 6 less shots on goal went to New York and defeated the Rangers 1-0. The Blackhawks needed this win after suffering their first loss of the season to the Wild the night before. Jonothan Toews is the player of the game, scoring the only goal on a shorthanded breakaway.

Chicago calls up 2 players, releases Hendry

Garnet Exelby has been a force on defense for the Rockford this season

Team announced today that they have brought up D Garnet Exelby and C Mathis Olimb from Rockford. They have also decided to let go of D Jordan Henry and send down under-achieving winger Viktor Stalberg. Olimb is expected to actually take over the 4th line Center position, as the Blackhawks have expressed intrigue in moving young Zach Hammil into the 4th line Left Winger position to see how he fairs. D Garnet Exelby will get some ice time as well tonight as the Blackhawks look to stay undefeated at the Madhouse on Madison vs the 6-5-2 Devils.

In other news, the Blackhawks have been said to be looking towards getting John Scott some ice time very soon. "Your defense has been so good lately, we really haven't had a chance to let John get out there and hit anyone. But he will, very soon," said Coach Q, adding "He is about ready to take someones head off."

Blackhawks get blanked y the Thrashers goalie Pavelec and Dustin Byfuglin guy revenge on his former team as Atlanta cruised to a 2-0 W at home vs Chicago. One interesting note is there was a fight, first of the season for the Blackhawks. Shockingly, it was Patrick Kane. Even more shockingly, he won. Hawks will regroup and head back home for a home stand.
