Just sent my brother an email telling him to bring me at some of this down from Chicago when he comes back home for Xmas. Crossing my fingers he doesn't forget.
Their Imperial Stout is released on January 1. Can't remember if I've had it or not. Guess that makes it a good reason to pick up some.
I have a real old one inherited from my grandpa. Probably going to give it away and buy a brand new one like that.
I know it's no Live Oaks UcanHateMeNow, but I like Paulaner. Haven't tried the Chimay Grande Réserve yet.
Paulaner is good stuff too as BigSmooth33 will agree. And speaking of Live Oak, I found a few places in town that can get full size and pony kegs of the Live Oak Hefe so as soon as I get my kegerator that is the first keg I'm getting.
My roommate had one. We used to keep a rotating pony keg in it of different stuff. It was nice to always have draft beer and was great for parties.
Brother is in town and brought down some Founders Breakfast Stout. Review will be up as soon as I get my hand on the beer.
This is what I'm drinking tonight. This is the first Christmas Ale I've had that I've actually enjoyed. A bit expensive at about $12 for a 4 pack, but well worth it. I'm sure some of you Chicago folk have had it. I'm looking at you MoonBBad . If you haven't, I highly recommend it.
In laws bought some Leinenkugel seasonal selection nonsense to appease me. Luckily I actually found one I like:.. The Leinie Vanilla Porter was pretty solid. Tomorrow will be a bunch of nonsense beers at my mom's... Not looking forward to it.
Even though there's no hockey, still gotta support the Wings. They need to hurry up and get that shit sorted out
I've been tempted to buy that. Just have to find it first. Always loved vanilla tastes, so that sounded appealing to me.
I tried it a few weeks ago and enjoyed it as well. Agreed, while I did like the Snowdrift Porter, I really like Breck's Vanilla Porter. It's delicious.
A-men to that. They have another good brew, and Ale I believe that was solid. Definitely worth a sampler pack one day if you're looking for something new.
Finally had the Founders Breakfast Stout If your not a fan of coffee or chocolate then don't bother trying this because you won't like it. Personally I started to like the beer more and more as it warmed up since I could distinguish more of the overall flavors. Shared one with my brother tonight and will probably split the other 2 left in the 4 pack with him tomorrow.
