Its not the low scores... it's the consistant low scores...
If i can miss a 6ft putt, have an up hill putt roll 25ft past, a downhill putt come up 15ft short... it just makes it sound stupid more than impressive...

If i could gaurantee a straight swing, maybe that would be consistant. I hockey stick swing enough and push putts enough that it wont happen... so unless each and every ps3 player has the steady nerves as a professional sniper or its just more generous over there in ps3 land.

and im sure someone will reply to this and blah blah blah. it is what it is and i havent mentally competed against the ps3 players since the par3 challenge, nor will i. I look solely at the xBox players. I have fun playing with the guys i play with.
Ive shot a 59, hurray for me. Followed up by a 73...

Theres no discussion. It's not the same game. Compete with those playing the same game and have fun.

haha...i am -8, which in real life would have finished 2nd in the 2011 US Open...in this tournament, I am 40 shots behind the leader lol

Having played on both consoles, i find the PS3 easier... not because of any design or game favouritism, ONLY because i am just more familliar with a PS3 controller, that is all, there is no difference, the game principles are the same, the winds blow for us, the greens are as fast and the rough as thick !

Also, i suggest you do your research. Ryalaman (Xbox 360) has the best tournament winning score with -45. Which could very well be broken this week by Vlad, who has been exceptional this week. The Melbourne championship was also won a 360 player Timroy at -42. Him & Atjev are both frequently posting scores around the -10 per round mark.

It is the same game, just you're obviously not as conistent as you want to be. I've seen you post -10, -11 and -12. You can do it, it can be done. String 4 of those together in the same week and you will land yourself a win. Whilst i agree with you in that this is not "sim" golf, it still proves you have to be consistent over 4 rounds to win, no matter what the benchmark is. Look at Rory McIlroy in the Masters... 3 flawless rounds and 1 bust. He loses it by a long way in the end. 4 consistent rounds and he lands the US Open by a mile.

There's only 4 of us (consistant) PS3 players, don't belittle the tour for us by saying you don't compete with us. We find it hard enough to stay in this tour as its not easy to get our rounds in given the small numbers we have. We don't want to come on here and read that you don't even consider us part of the tour - because we shoot consistently low.

FYI - someone already -48, and I'm guessing the winnder will be better than -50 under.

So let me get this straight, you REALLY believe that if I were to switch over the 360, my scores would magically go down? Really? This has me completely baffled someone would even say something along these lines, I literally laughed out loud when I read it.......

Agreed. @SatansAngel1104 It's really not fair to the PS3 guys for us to exclude them. If you want to mentally compete with other 360 golfers and give yourself your own award if you win then by all means. But I think @Basis4aDay56 would agree that it is what it is and things are going to remain the same.

IMO a winning a tournament excluding the PS3 guys would feel cheap to me. Work at it more, put more time into the game, and then possibly you can compete with the top golfers.

No one is talking about excluding the PS3 guys, he's just saying that he compares his scores to the other 360 guys. I do the same thing.

Exactly... Im not excluding them... If i played on the PS3 I'd probably mentally exclude all of the 360 players that were below me...

If there are harder settings than what are being used now I'd think the tour would be better served going that way. Having some guys who suck shoot high scores would be better in my opinion than having the winner of every tourney be 40 or more under par.

It's not about believing it... I beleive you can shoot a -17 on Scottsdale... I know had I not bogeyed 3 holes and missed 2 putts inside 5 feet I wouldve shot a -15... The score is not unachievable... Never once have I complained about the single round scores... Hell I havent even complained about the Final Tourney scores... Im just sharing with others who are frustrated a way to not be so frustrated...

Humors me to see the ps3 players become so defensive and offensive all in the same thread... that too makes me laugh out loud... more of a chuckle...

This just raises the live weather condition again. I mean, the final round at the US Open... the top 3 on the leaderboard were held to -4 (my score). We all found it much tougher in 20mph winds as opposed to 5mph winds.

With the British Open coming up, unless there is 25mph winds or so, it will be won at about -40.

Look i don't want to start up the whole weather debat again... but that is the only way i see we can make the tour harder without drastically changing settings such as going to tournament setting. (No aim circle, or putting meter etc etc)
