Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 : Details on Kinect Integration

EA SPORTS has posted new details on how they have implemented the Kinect technology into their latest version of the golf giant. This year you will be able to ditch the controller in favor of utilizing your own unique golf swing in your living room to test your skills against the toughest courses in the world.

This is revolutionary in the fact that no other sports game currently lets you utilize your own natural athletic ability and coordination to affect the play on the course/field/court. Is this the first step to virtual reality gaming? I’m sitting here contemplating the implications of this type of gameplay and I’m wondering if golf simulator owners are shaking in their boots.

I guess my next natural question would be… could you actually hold a club in your hand when you swing or would that interfere with the Kinect recognition? I can see all kinds of accessories added for in home training tools utilizing TW 13 if you can… wow..

Another great feature is the see and say aspect on Kinect that allows you to give basic verbal instructions to line up shots and select clubs, giving you a truely wireless experience and making the gameplay seamless.
