This is a new thread for all to use to send a kind message to anyone you feel needs a little motivation. In this weeks episode we will be sweeping the floor with the Detroit Tigers. Starting the second half of the season is always a big thing it sets the tone for the second half. As of July 11th here was the standings Being without there big bat in Arthur Lawson and future stud call up Roman Ocampo(both had another week on the disabled list) the Southsiders looked for a way to send a message to the AL Central. And boy did it come in a big way. Using a very clutch 7th inning the Sox earn a tough hard fought road victory to open the series. Bullpen was brilliant again as Cardenas,Santiago and Haynes have big days at the plate to help secure the win. Game two was more of the same as the bullpen continues its hotstreak. Cardenas has another big game and Washington tags on a 2 run bomb in the 8th to secure the victory. Game three had a different feel but the same results that have lead the Soutsiders all season long. Detroit was not gonna have it and came out banging on Heredia for 5 in the 1st. Then the scrappy bullpen shut the door with a super strong performance with the beast Garcia resting after pitching in back to back games. So many clutch hits to speak of in this comeback the main one was Cardenas with a huge 2 run shot with 2 outs in the 6th to start the comeback. Cardenas ended the 3 game series with a decent line of 6 for 9 3 BB 0 k's 1 HR and 3 RBI's to be named player of the series. To start the second half on the road vs the so called power of the AL Central has the Southsiders primed for a run. Fmode11
You wait pal -- working on a few things now but with a major move going down prior to the next sim y'all are gonna need those four games we just gave you.
soxandgators - You wanted to start yapping... well here ya go: That is what could be called someone coming into your own house and doing the dirty with not only your wife, but throw in your mom and daughter
soxandgators In addition , the Tigers organization would like to thank the White Sox for allowing some new records to be set in the AL...
Check the name of the thread when you get a chance. The idea was series sweeps content. Anything can happen in one game. Glad you got your ammo for retaliation as that was the goal with this content piece. And classy approach at that with the woman in my life. Why not add my 2 year old niece why your at it. Congrats on the whippin it was a epic one and good luck to the Tigers this year. If you rep the Central in the playoffs rep us well.
Tigers take season of frustration out in Series Sweep (4-0) Against White Sox to end Season Game 1 Tiger send their #5 pitching prospect out in the final series of the season. He handles the lousy Chicago bats and only allows two runs, albeit on 11 hits over 8 innings. Pedro Serna HR's in the 3rd with two outs. Game 2 AJ Vulcan has been struggling all year and the Tigers flirted with waiver him many times. With the upheaval planned this off season in the Tigers bullpen we choose to hang on to him throughout the end of the season. He may have established his right for another shot next season with his 4 hit, shout-out performance of against the White Sox in the second game of their season-ending series. Recent acquisition 2B R. Ames collected 6 bases in this game, thanks to NeuroticTruth . Game 3 Another dominant performance by a Tiger's pitcher. In the 3rd game of the series 22 yr old Matt Martin pitches a solid gem. Only allowing one run through 8 innings he gave Detroit a chance to win, since R. Lebron blew the save and picked up the win. Not sure we really understand what was going in the White Sox pen but they attempted to let every pitcher pitch in this game. 3rd game in a row that the Detroit SP was player of the game. Pedro Serna, who sat out the 2nd game in the series, belted his 2nd HR of the series in the 3rd. Game 4 The final game of the series finally produced a solid number of runs. Although the White Sox were able to get more hit than the Tigers the bullpen failed them solidly to end the season. The Tigers tagged the Sox for 5 runs over the final two innings. The season ended for the Tigers with a 3 run HR by Pedro Serna. Again, the Sox bullpen all attempted to throw some pitches in this game as well. Series Totals: HitsTigers 36Sox 35 RunsTigers 23Sox 12 Tigers don't produce one .300+ hitter this season after having three last year. We may have a 3B gold glover winning in Cory Seagar. Tiger finish the season with a decimated pen and the Tigers look to fix the defense which looked to get off to a decent start against the Sox soxandgators
soxandgators JFace907 & Brandon S. The AL Central is now a two horse race thanks to the ineptitude of three managers. Although some have referred to the AL Central as the battle of tallest Midget, the gap between the Tigers and Twins and the rest is clearly evident after the last sim. Particular the Tigers who took the Indians, White Sox and Royals to the wood shed. JFace907 - Although the #teepeetankjob is always looking for notoriety, their three game sweep was not the worst of the AL Central victims of the Tigers soxandgators - What happens when you trade your entire team 4x a season? You get super swept at home... by about a billion runs And finally, Brandon S. So much promise, to have it all collapse in late innings multiple times. Feel your pain... but being close doesn't count in baseball
The season is far from over big boy, i have 6 starters on the DL and its extremely obvious how much depth my team lacks. This time last year i was in 1st place, and Minnesota was in 4th. Just wait. Good sim for you though.
Now I know this isn't saying much but the Dodgers haven't seen a lot of sweeps the past couple of seasons.
