http://www.easports.com/madden-nfl/news-updates-gameplay/article/madden-25-defense-tips Check out this article from SGibs from MaddenTips.com. Really good stuff!
Soooo, stop playing crappy defense and play crappier defense? This man is ssuggesting someone call 'edge sting' on 3rd down, with no adjustments and have success? Wow, man drift, I'd never thought I'd see you post anything like this, you're waaaaay better than this
It's frustrating that the one defense that is successful against the pass is absolutely, 100% overpowered.
Maybe I just need to call it more... I play more zone than anything... lots of cover 2/3/4. I am getting shredded regularly.
Wish there was a cheesey way to make 4-3 defense not get ass fucked in the run game , probably need to buy the guide for that intel
Colin could have threw the cheese curl to either guy on that first play and had 8 yards/missed tackle for a TD
I don't get how this is cheese....sending one too many guys to block isn't cheese. Like most stated above, there are ways to beat this defensive call. It's just a good defense to exploit the O line. I don't see cheese....
This wasn't cheese at all, I just don't think there is a way to neutralize the offense in this game without massive slider adjustments. I definitely appreciate you posting it, and I know you're pretty disconnected from Madden. Honestly though, I thought the article itself was pretty laughable. Here is my synopsis: 1. Try this blitz because it sends more than 5. If they keep a TE or HB in to block, you're screwed because off man coverage is as useless as it's ever been in any EA Sports Football game. If your opponent recognizes the blitz and you aren't pressing, you're screwed. 2. If 1 doesn't work, mix up zone coverage. In the off chance that they misread the zone, you can potentially fool them into making a mistake. If not, zone play is so bad you're done...even if you're running a zone that, in theory, should counter the offensive play call. 3. When all else fails, pull out the ridiculously overpowered 2 man under defense, which is the foundation of any tournament player's defensive arsenal. Even slants fail to beat it at times this year. I'm doing my best to avoid being an OS-esque troll, but this game is a huge disappointment defensively. I would think that would mean something coming from someone who has always been pretty constructive and optimistic. Like I said earlier, I can only hope this means they put way more effort into the next gen titles.
Not to mention the Video is a joke because the QB could have easily hit either curl route for 100% success and more then likely to the house after the DB misses the tackle....
