Makes sense. I know it's more difficult than we know. Just hard drawing that line between being understanding and trying to hold them accountable to what other games are doing. Once I figured out the camera and fled and audible system Madden looks/plays a lot better
I know I'm extremely late to the party, but I have spoke to sgibs personally. I think he is one of the nicest guys Ive ever spoken too. He definitely is not what we call sim (i.e. Constant hurry up, FAG defense) but he doesn't play in the spirit of cheese, if you will. I have watched some of his TWIM shows and unfortunately am not able to use his techniques in a tmfl league, but the way he plays is respectable and it's simply a tournament community, while we here are in a sim community. He has made the Madden community much better. Someone mentioned his refusal to use exploits and it's true. I know he refused to block xp (he could apparently block them at will) or onside kick (where he apparently could recover quite often). He never calls his opponents "cheezers" and always, always gives his opponent the benefit of the doubt before he ever calls them out. That is one thing I have not been afforded here by some (most of which are not very active anyways) at times here at TSO. I know this is a tangential argument to Drift's point about defense and the arguments about Madden. I just wanted to put a good word in, for a good guy. We'd all be lucky to have a friend like Stephen.
This is arguably one of the best man to man blitzes in the game. With an aggressive press coverage you can get to the QB very quickly. Is it perfect for every down? No. Is it good in the right situation? Yes.
not cheese. You know nothing about how I play or why I make the decisions I make. Lets talk and maybe you won't just make assumptions. email me anytime. sgibs@maddentips.com
monday morning QB. Thats totally cool. I dont have a magic play creator to give you a play that beats every type of offensive scheme. what I can give you is a defensive scheme from multiple formations that confuse your opponent into thinking one thing and deliver another. So, when you think "oh a corner route will beat this defense...it looks like the last play he ran..." Next thing you know I have a hook zone in cushion coverage picking off your pass for a pick 6. No perfect play...only perfect adjustments.
Gap integrity and play the right style of defense. Cover 3 has been notorious for stopping the runs in the past and it shouldnt be. This year you really need to play a 2 Man Under, Cover 1 or Cover 2 Zone to really stop the run on a consistent basis. Put more defenders in the box than your opponent has blockers and you will stop the run. Math.
whats a joke is that you are blowing the play out of context and just assuming this is one play that can stop everything from sun up until sun down. This is one play that can be used out of many from this formation.
First. Wrong. I'm a great & handsome guy. Second, NANOS dont exist. Plays work in this game because people don't adapt and dont make adjustments. They call plays and expect the play they call to 100% stop everything. Whether its 2 Man Under or something else. They are looking for a quick fix. There is no quick fix you have to adjust to your opponent on the fly. I think you are taking your own personal bias on what you think the game is and assuming that because I have succes with the game it means that I'm cheating/doing something to exploit the game to gain a ridiculous advantage that others dont have. I make my money because I help people improve. I have conversations with poeple and I try to make people better at the game using football knowledge. I make my money because I work hard at what I do and constitently help improve the game each year. My final point to you...man coverage isn't over powered...2 Man Under is. There is a big difference.
money plays is a term used for SEO its what people search for. when you were looking up my plays on google did you find this cheese fest article on how to build a passing system in Madden? http://www.maddentips.com/how-to-pass-effectively-in-madden-nfl-25/ such a cheesy article...it uses no football knowledge. do you even pass system bro?
no it wont. if i ran this play 100% all game long then yes of course it will. You're the best Water Cooler QB in the league doh.
I would say a blitz that cant be picked up with blocking a HB and slide protection. find one and let me know...
Teach me Seriously whats the big deal. Madden has gotten to the point there are very few plays that are "Money". You can adjust to stop most anything. Curls may be easy. But if you throw them to much. I am going to pick it off eventually.
