I'll just add something new since most of my concerns have already been stated. It's something small but the wind direction seems to be backwards. I know that is just a small concern but it seems like something that could easily be fixed.

First off I'll state that I have NOT played Madden Next Gen. Only ps3.

    - WR/DB interaction on deep/jump balls, currently if I were to run a streak down the sideline and launch the ball up (and not user control the WR) the WR will continue running his route until the ball comes down but the DB will attempt to jump up and catch the ball. While the WR will just keep running. I would like to see the WR go up and attempt to catch the ball at it highest point when a DB is threatening to intercept the ball. Also, DB's are able to catch up to recievers to easily on deep routes. I would attribute this to the QB pass trajectory on that particular route.

    - The ability to use a defenders momentum against him. Especially on punt/kick returns, if a defender is running full speed down field and returner should be able to sidestep him rather easily, right now if I catch the ball as a returner and juke right the defender and correct his path on a dime and make a tackle.

Watch when Peterson starts to come back to his left, there is a white guy who initially is headed right at Peterson but when Peterson cuts left the white guy has to gather himself to pursue him.

    - Blocking on Kick Returns and Punt Returns needs to be redone. In the above video you see how the outside gunners have a man on them all the way down the field. That never happens in madden. As well as the rest of the blocking on a punt return, most of the time the Punt Return team attempts to block at the line of scrimmage and once the Punt Teams sheds those blocks there isn't much blocking after that.

    - Player models (IDK if this has been fixed on ps4/X1). The player models for the Defensive and Offensive lineman. In the current game every lineman looks like the have a huge gut. Especially guys like J.J. Watt. I've meet this guy IRL and he does not look like he is 290 Pounds, or whatever they have him listed as.

    watt25.jpg jj-watt-handing-ball.jpg

    Wishlist:

    - The ability to gameplan in CFM. Before my game against the CPU or USER, I would like the option to 'scout' my opponent. See is Run v Pass percentage. Favorite plays and formations, as well as zone vs man, cover 2 vs cover 3 etc. on defense. This could be a skill that is upgraded through the Coach XP system or added as part of the scout you hire as an owner. I would also like to be able to see my own scouting report so I can maybe change how I do things to throw off the opposing team.

    - Creating my own packages on Defense and Offense. If I wanted to but my back-up RB who is more of a receiver or I have a player like Tavon Austin, Percy Harvin or next year D'Anthony Thomas and I want to make a package that would make them the back in the back-field or in the slot I would like to be able to set that up prior to the game.

On the defensive side, if I have a backup Defensive End the specializes in pass rushing or an OLB who I would like to rush the passer with his hand on the ground on 3rd downs. Also, if I have a shutdown corner and I know the opposing team only has one good receiver I want to be able to have him always line up over that WR or the option to have the safety always play over the top of that WR when I am in zone etc.

    - Change the hurry up to what NCAA uses, where the play call screen pops up so you can choose your play.

    - Show a players combine statistics, and them vary from their actual attributes. As well as not letting USERs scout the actually rating of an attribute until after the combine. For Example, if you are scouting a WR all season and it shows him having a C for speed and then he gets to the combine and runs a 4.3 you might change your perception of the player and he may rocket up other teams draft boards after the combine (Julio Jones).

    - A cohesion rating for positions on your team. In real life if you have an offensive line that has not been playing together for a decent amount of time they may suffer when attempting to pick up and identify blitzes. If a QB and WR have not gotten practice time and aren't familiar with each other that should hurt your ability to lead the WR on routes because he doesn't know what you are thinking as a QB (Rodgers and the packer WR core is an example of that). Your cohesion rating would take a hit if you are going out and signing massive amounts of Free Agents every year.

I wish I had a capture card so I could put some videos up, that might be my next purchase.

A function similar to "Run commit" or "Pass commit" -- maybe called "watch for the fcking screen" would be nice.

It's a shame that you can't do anything to guard against them other than user the DE/LB OR just cross your fingers that they see it and follow (unlikely) .

You can change formations "on the fly" I know it isn't really in depth, but Madden does a great job of making you stay in certain "packages" during hurry up.

I do like that they make you stay in certain packages, its the lack of play calling options that sucks

Agreed, combine the staying in packages with a full playbook of that set and they would have it perfect. The lack of staying in packages was an issue in NCAA.

You can try putting the DE to spy or have him play the flat zone, that works as well

Yeah but I hate to audible DE's to total pass coverage.... they should do some sort of "check" for the screen and then pass rush.

If you want to stop the screen, make sure your DE's have high PRC, AWR, PUR. Without that, you are going to compensate for the screen play by manually covering it.

I prefer to manually cover it. Ive been good at sniffing them out. Still get beat but when you run into people who are zone heavy and can keep them on guard. (I know it seems wierd to say zone heavy since I think most leagues I play in the peeps are more man heavy.)

Oh and wanted to add a pet peeve of mine. Im not a fan of the AI changing up the guy Im covering due to motion or whenever it feels like it.. Ive seen too many times where im covering the RB or FB and the once the play snaps, the CPU decides im suppose to cover someone else.

Lastly, I wanted to reiterate one item i would like to see back in the game. I believe it was in the ps2 days that they actually had tendencies and such for your opponnent for that week. You could see if they liked certain formations, what there favorite plays were, etc.

Im not asking for it to be as detailed as some of the coachglass stuff ive seen but somethign that gives you tendencies would be an easy add to the game.

Some of those stats that could be useful (blitz %, no huddle, man vs zone, run vs pass, etc).

My biggest gripes are the mobility functions since I travel for work and I am away from my console from time to time.

    The CFM Website
    • It really, really needs work. It's not intuitive at all. It's tough to find things that should be simple to find like where to resign a player, or even searching for free agents.
    • More functionality on the site. You should be able to do everything you can do in the game besides playing the actual game, from a web page, your phone, or tablet. There really is no reason why you shouldn't be able to do that. The big thing here would be to DRAFT from the site. Many of us are on the road and it's tough to get every owner in one place, at the same time, to do a draft. However, if you could do it from your phone, console, or a webpage that would really help.
    • Formatting is wonky on an iPhone. I can scroll down certain pages. Like when you go look at statistics after a game, I can't scroll down to see all the players, it's annoying especially when I'm at work and have a few and want to work on a game recap. I can't do that because I can't see all the statistics from the game.

Looks like a lot has already been covered, so I'll keep it simple:

Make kicking FGs harder. And by harder, I don't mean incorrectly display which direction the wind is actually blowing in. I don't believe there is such a thing as a shanked FG, just ones that you cant kick far enough. That's unacceptable, year after year.

Oh, and team export from CFM. So you can perhaps practice with and play other guys in your league in a scrimmage with perhaps the team that you play with 99.9% of the time.

I'm going to breakdown gameplay issues and owners mode issues separately. Here is the latter.

In short, the game is horribly predictable and boring off the field. The game needs to take more into account to yield varied, unpredictable, and dynamic results. EA can achieve this by blowing out player roles, player personalities, and player expectations. The three of which, when combined, can combat a lot of the current issues I have with the game.

    General Owner Mode

    • Ability to re-align divisions post team relocation.
    • Coordinators and position coaches, with a coaching carousel. Have to fight to keep top assistants, or promote from within after a retirement/firing. Each should have an ambition rating that dictates how quickly and willingly they move on to a bigger title.
    • Ability to hit one button and spend all your xp on a particular trait, instead of having to hit a button 17 separate times.
    • Player personality ratings that dictate what a player prefers. Does he want media exposure? Does he want a winning team? Does he want a chance to play? Make things more dynamic, and lay out all of the metrics for us to see, which will increase the variables involved in signing a player.
    • Bring back player roles - A backup qb under a "mentor" starter should progress quicker. A "franchise" player should expect big money and a long
    • Bring back training camp drills and replace the current practice mode with them.
    • "Player Happiness" that takes into account player personality, coach personality (yes, they should have them too), player roles, player expectations, and how all of the above are being fulfilled. A player that cares about winning more than anything shouldn't be "happy" on a crappy team.
    • Player expectations to include money, position (Brandon Albert wanting to play LT, not RT), team success, market size, etc.
    • Random progression/regression, less predictable and steady. Can also be tied into player happiness.
    • Fan happiness and expectations - maybe they want you to spend a lot of money in FA or draft a new QB. This should be dynamic, and drive attendance, sales, etc.
    Free Agency
    • Just ties in with player personalities and roles - would make free agency less black and white, and more dynamic.
    • Some players should simply refuse to play for certain teams - i.e. a guy who cares most about a big market going to San Diego. Think NCAA and dealbreakers, only with Madden and free agency.
    Scouting
    • Scouting itself needs to be more of an art, and less of an exact science. You need to hire and upgrade scouts, who have different strengths, weaknesses, and regions. Scout A might be a northeast scout who specializes in quarterbacks, whereas Scout B is a west coast scout specializing in defensive lineman.
    • Individual ratings should rarely be exact, and their accuracy should be tied to a scouts overall strength and specialty. Even the best scout in his region scouting his specialty shouldn’t be able to hit a guy’s ratings 100 percent.
    • A scout should only be able to scout players in a specific region. This would make the draft process way more unpredictable and interesting.
    • Bring back individual workouts and pro days. Be designated a certain number of guys you can scout more heavily.

    Draft
    • The draft guides are still relevant; make this a non-issue once and for all.
    • Draft presentation upgrades - put us inside Radio City with full commentary, speculation, analysis, and fan reactions. Blow out the presentation.
    • Ability to set a draft board in case you can't make a draft, or just for reference during it.
    • Less out of the box stud draft gems. As I'll touch on, irl this is more of a result of finding good coaches, the right scheme/situation.
    • CPU Draft logic needs to continue to improve.
    • Would be cool to see multiple projections (Mayock, Kiper, McShay) and various first round mock drafts.
    • Draft recap and preview shows.
    • A high profile pick fans don’t approve of should result in a temporary drop in fan happiness.
    • Jersey acceptance/on stage presentation for first round picks with the Commissioner.
    Contract Renegotiations
    • Incorporate production, player roles, and player personalities to give a more varied/dynamic renegotiation process. i.e. - A "go to player" whose personality ratings are representative of a player that cares about money should look for huge money.
    • Holdouts and trade demands. If you have a feature back that cares about winning and he isn't getting carries on a losing team, he should demand a trade. If you have an injury prone player that cares about money, he might hold out for a better or longer deal.
    Progression
    • My first suggestion is a big change – HIDE THE DEVELOPMENT RATING AND MAKE IT UNABLE TO BE UPRGRADED. I can’t even begin to tell you what a positive impact this would have on the game.
    • In real life, it’s very difficult to gauge someone's “ceiling,” nor does it ever change. Perhaps you draft a player who isn’t a scheme fit and doesn’t progress the way you want. Not knowing he has superstar development, you let him go and he excels elsewhere. This would create some really cool and realistic storylines and situations.
    • If a player is behind a team mentor (ie Peyton Manning), they should progress behind said player, even though they don’t accumulate stats. There’s no reason to believe Brock Osweiller (assuming he's a willing learner) won’t flourish once Peyton is gone. Just because he’s holding a clipboard doesn’t mean he’s not progressing.
    • Individual stats don’t say it all. What if you have a rookie nose guard who is dominating in the trenches by doing his job and eating up space? Sure, he won’t get tackles or sacks, but he should be progressing based on his coaches expectations. Expect him to be a space eater and help in the run game? All of his goals should be related to your team’s rushing defense.
    • Injuries need to play more of a role in development. The injury rating should be dynamic, and have the opportunity to slow down a promising career – even if the player starts with A injury and just gets unlucky
    Schemes
    • There need to be real, tangible consequences and rewards for finding a guy that fits your scheme…not just an artificial overall drop. In Madden 25, EA claims it affects progression. If it does, it doesn't nearly enough. Finding the right scheme can make or break a career, right Vernon Gholston?
    • A player should struggle to develop in the wrong scheme with the wrong coaches, the latter of which need to be in the right scheme.
    • When hiring coordinators, you must use their scheme, or run the risk of tangible regression.
    • Players that can play multiple schemes. These guys should be highly sought after.
    • A player with high awareness should be able to transition schemes if you pump xp into this (scheme transition should be an upgrade). A player with low awareness should not.
    Team Chemistry
    • MUT has it, but owner mode doesn't. Come on, man!
    • Should be a combination of players fitting into the scheme, coach/player relationships (coach personalities and which players prefer which - look at Tom Coughlin butting heads with Giants when he first came on), and how a player's expectations are being fulfilled.
    • Chemistry should have a real, tangible effect on progression and "momentum". Up until this year, the Super Bowl winner was a team that got hot at the right time, partially due to strong team chemistry.
    Some Other Things
    • Ability to change a playbook and run/pass ratio once you create your coach.
    • Ability to edit the equipment of rookies - I have guys wearing sleeves in 90 degree weather.
    • Overall, attendance logic needs an overhaul. In real life, seldom does a team fail to sell out its home opener. Also, inclement weather effects attendance too much (especially the snow).
    • Commentary to reflect current state of the franchise.
    • Commentary to include names of rookies and include both current NFL storylines and their specific college storylines.
    • More player silhouettes for rookies.
    • A player’s skin tone to match his silhouette (there are some that do not).
    • Fix wind direction being flipped in online CCM.

I've only played one game on PS4, it took 1 attempt and 10 seconds to get the game started.

The Xbox One took me 21 min to get my game started later that night. That's not acceptable at all. Not sure if this is more an issue with Live and how EA has to set up the games vs the PSN but it's a joke.

I havent' had any in PS4.

I know that if you use a custom playbook that can cause major problems, so you have to scroll off of it and then back to it.

We have occasional lag, but you never know if it is server or someones shitty internet.
