That is not the purpose of a game summaries thread. They can get the gist of it with the video and 2-3 sentences from you.
Can I please be invited to gameplay dicussion PM? I will gladly restate everything I said within this thread. Also want to know the outcome of this discussion.
In game summary threads. If you have a complaint/criticism of someone's gameplay, however, you need to PM the gameplay complaint committee. That is why they're there. The new leadership structure was put in place to try an elevate this league above petty bickering.
34-31 ---Nashville, TN - LP Field The Jags finished 4-12 last year and after starting 1-0, the pundits thought the Jags got lucky in week 1 and didn't have a chance against the high powered offense of the Titans after they hung 48 on the Tittans in Week 1. The Jags came ready to play and had something to prove....that they could stay in games and they did just that and more. The Titans went PA on their first play and scored a touchdown. It looked like it was going to be another ass whipping doled out by Coach Broth. Henne responded taking the team the length of the field leading to a FG. The teams exchanged punches throughout the first half and the Jags went into the locker room with a 3 point lead. They came out in the third quarter, took 4 minutes off the clock and scored a TD. The Titans answered only to have the Jaguars next drive take 6 minutes of the 4th quarter with a 2 score lead. The titans answered with a TD and then recovered the Onside kick leading to a subsequent FG to tie it. The Titans elected to received but the Jags held strong and forced a punt. Henne and company drove the length of the field and Scobee finished with a 30 yd FG to win the game for the Jags. Great Game broth262 but I would have been less stressed if I won in the fourth Offensive Players of the Game Chad Henne - 18/20 - 324 Yards - 2 TD's MJD - 27 Rush - 110 Yards - 2 TD's, 2 Rec for 26 YDS and a TD Defense Dwight Lowery gets the defensive game ball for forcing the only big play on Defense with an INT. P.S. Broth still scored more than 27
Brandon Weeden comes off the bench to lead Browns to victory over Miami. Rookie QB Louis Musgrove started for Cleveland and had another rough outing before being pulled in the 3rd Q for Brandon Weeden. All Weeden did was throw 3 TDs, o INTs and secure himself another start next week against KC. The Dolphins played mistake free football outside of an ill timed fumble deep in Cleveland territory in the 2nd half while holding a lead. The Miami offense was held in check most of the day outside of some tricky runs by Ryan Tannehill. Josh Gordon was huge again this week and beat the man press to catch the game winning TD pass with 7 seconds left in the game. GG Gyrene76 well played and best of luck. You might want to get your headset fixed... cuts out quite a bit. Player of the Game: Brandon Weeden - 12/16, 198 yards, 3 TD
Raiders Hang On For 1st Victory Since 2012 31 Kansas City Chiefs @ Oakland Raiders 34 Oakland, CA - It nearly didn't come to fruition and the Chiefs did everything they could to prevent it, but the Oakland Raiders have finally put a 1 in the win column. The Chiefs won the toss and elected to receive. The kick return immediately put them into the Raiders side of the field and nearly went all the way. The Raiders defense held strong though and forced a FG for Kansas City. After that, the Raiders owned the 1st half. It started with a Denarius Moore 76 yard TD on the Raiders first possession. Then the Chiefs started turning the ball over and the Raiders started playing the ball control offense that they would like to run pushing the lead to 24-3 at Halftime. In the 2nd half though, the momentum had changed and the Chiefs came out like a different team. The Raiders got the ball first though and were looking like they were starting to drive the field. That's when Dane Honani threw his 1 and only interception of the game. This setup the Chiefs with a short field which they would convert for a TD closing the gap to 24-10. Another defensive stand and score made it 24-17. The Raiders would finally respond though and push the lead to 31-17 with Honani's 2nd TD pass of the day, this time to Brandon Lloyd. The Chiefs wouldn't give in though. They closed it to 31-24 with 2:02 left in the game and kicked the ball back to the Raiders rather than go for an onside kick. It paid off though. They forced a 3 and out and then went straight to a screen pass to Jamaal Charles which nearly went for a TD. They drove the rest of the field after that to tie the game at 31. The Chiefs gave the Raiders enough time though to attempt their own drive with all of their timeouts remaining. Honani made some great throws getting the Raiders into FG position and Sebastian Janikowski knocked it through giving the Raiders a 34-31 victory.
The Eagles play lock down D at home to secure their second victory. Sam Bradford had a horrible game passing and was later benched for the likes of former Eagles QB Nick Foles. The Eagles were able to establish a running game with LeSean McCoy, Pryor ripped off a few runs on broken down plays but for the most part the Rams D played stout. Jared Cook was the lone bright spot for the Rams in this game. Player of the game for the Eagles was Terrelle Pryor going 8 for 13 for 122 yards and 1 TD, with 37 yards on the ground. Good game Rusty, good convo!
The Steelers would come into this game at 1-0 after a big win over the Ravens in week 1. The Seahawks came in at 0-1 after losing a heartbreaker to the Vikings. Pittsburgh would get the ball first, but #7 would throw an ill-advised pass to MLB Bobby Wagner which would put the Seahawks in good position. They would methodically move the ball down the field, and on 3rd and goal from the 7, Ronnie Turbin would take the ball in for the quick 7-0 lead. That would set the tone for the remainder of the game. The Steelers would commit 4 costly turnovers, and really had to become one dimensional as Le'Veon Bell was unable to find any running room. The back breaking play would be a Marshawn Lynch, 94 yard TD run after the Steelers had pinned the Seahawks back on their own 1 yard line. The second half was completely uneventful as Seattle played ball control and hold onto their 3 TD lead. GG pittrocks43 nothing really went your way in this game and my running attack was working very well. The turnovers really hurt you in this one Key Stats: Pittsburgh Big Ben: 10/22, 113 yards, 3 INT Le'Veon Bell: 13 carries, 35 yards Marcus Wheaton: 3 catches, 34 yards Troy Polamalu: 4 tackles, 1 INT Seattle Russell Wilson: 5/7, 82 yards, 1 INT Marshawn Lynch: 18 carries, 190 yards, 2 TD Percy Harvin: 2 catches, 31 yards Bobby Wagner: 3 tackles, 2 INT
So forgot to do this summary as it was a sim. Texans beat the Ravens 19-13. Bunch of field goals, boring as simmed game. Owen Daniels caught a TD, and Ray Rice ran one in. Wopty do.
