Would any of you guys have interest in a new league? I don't have a ton of time and I know you guys are busy too, but I think we could get some good out of this game still.
Anyone watch Connor Shaw come in and engineer a win against Mizzou? Currently he's not projected to be drafted, but the guy is so tough and just makes plays in many different situations. Great teammate with leadership skills, decent accuracy and power (not overwhelming), good runner, and tough as nails. Sounds like a good developmental pick to me. Maybe one of these teams that keeps playing round robin at QB should draft Bridgewater in the first and Shaw (similar skill set) in the 7th so if Bridgewater goes out they don't have to change the playcalling.
Yeah, I watched a decent chunk of it. Seeing as how Missouri is really the only decent team in the Midwest, we get all their games in Illinois. He strikes me as the type of guy that could enter an NFL game and make a few plays, maybe even play a decent game or two and spark a bad team. I don't know if I would project him much over a very late pick with his lack of an NFL arm. He reminds me a little bit of Jordan Lynch physically (better arm, probably less shifty). The QB that could make noise that none of you have ever heard of is Eastern Illinois Panther Jimmy Garoppolo. Book it--he'll be drafted higher than any QB in the Big Ten this season.
I'm just hoping he gets a chance. He's already expressed interest in joining his friends in the special forces when his college career is over, so I don't think he minds. My alma mater is in the OVC and I know the way those teams play and the speed of the games. Putting numbers like that up doesn't really mean a lot one way or the other. I watched a bit of tape from his game against Austin Peay and the one thing I did like was the way he sold the play fake on the draw. Lots of these pricks don't even try to look like they still have the ball, but he was pretending to pat the ball and shifting his eyes and feet in the pocket before faking a pass. Maybe he's the next Kurt Warner, but you really never know until they see a real defense.
No, there has been interest in restarting but at those times I wasn't ready to move forward. We have 7 easily that would be ready to go and we were into team selection but didn't follow through. So hopefully instead of shutting it down and then when we want to begin, we don't have to bug you with the pettiness in bringing this back out of the cellar.
Is there any idea on if/when the NCAA servers will go down? Also the mood has struck me, I'm ready to lead the way on a full reboot, KnightNoles what do you think?
i agree with you broth262 my mood has tremendously changed since reading a few forums on here. im ready for a reboot
Hey guys. If any of you want to join an existing league we have spots in Chompians and The Pride open. Let me know and I'll give you whatever info you want.
Are you in the league, Witness? If you guys would consider having me, I would highly consider coming back to NCAA.
Yes I'm in Chomps I believe we have two spots opened. Would be nice to get back up to 12. Spayer or Cyi will be contacting you soon I'm sure.
We actually just got back to 12 with a user taking over Texas. But the last two spots have been the toughest to keep filled. I will come back and post if we have anything open up. We are also planning a possible reboot somewhere down the line if the CPU gets too far gone talent wise. I will post here if we do that as well and have openings.
We're currently at 7 out of 12 in The Pride. In that league we are all taking schools we have a particular affinity for so we are all over the place. Current schools taken are: Iowa State Texas TexasA&M Florida Mizzou Michigan Miami Contact UcanHateMeNow, the commish, for more info.
Let's roll! We don't need 12 guys to have a fun league. We could get a group together and get some use out of this game.
