No offense but 22-26 year old relievers like Randy White I have a ton of so didn't really trade away a big asset. I've actually looked around at landing a big time pitcher but no one is dealing one, my big time one fell flat on his face, so I got an extra bat in Sandoval, the money aspect is small and inconsequential as I could cut him at the end of the year if I wanted and not worry about it. Financial resources we have a lot of in Boston because of us coming close last year, Sandoval merely provides some more security for guys in my lineup, he has had a record of coming up with big hits and games when teams needed them so that is what I am banking on. I am not expecting him to hit .385 with 15 home runs in the second half of the year, but a close to .375 OBP and around a .275-.300 BA will be fine as he will get chances behind Pamblanco and Sanchez to drive in runs. As for the enjoy the nippers, once again your thoughts and inquiries about moves I make are inconsequential to me, you literally have scraped by, by the skin of your teeth and fortunately for you every financial ruin you've been in someone came in and saved you, you mismanage a team and get lucky that Bond has had a couple of bad seasons so you capitalize on that, overall besides Chicago your division has been mediocre at best, (no offense I know there has been some success in Minnesota and Cleveland respectively) before you go tooting your own horn and running down others organizations how about you do something with yours, like I dunno win a World Series or even make it to one. Win an ALCS, or a playoff series. Until then shut your mouth and keep it moving or as you like to say "Sparty on" your way to worrying about making the playoffs before you start talking about someone else's team.
This thread has turned into pure gold. Hey fmode, you're a fucking tool and I love you for it. Never change asshat
Baltimore sends: 3B Huck Donahue, 5*/5*, 1/22M KC sends: SP Luis Urbina, 1*/4.5*, AA, MLC Discuss.... Not a fan of this for Bondzai . Huck is just not that good anymore and sending a top SP prospest for a rent-a-player who is likely to be worth 1 or 2 wins max this season just doesn't make sense to me. I'd have no problem trading Urbina for a younger more productive hitter but Huck is not that guy anymore.
This trade is a side effect from the .500 rule. If he wasn't facing potential demotion, then I doubt he does this. Not great value for him but he's barely hanging on as it is and needed to do something.
The kicker for me is I think Urbina could have a greater impact on the ML level right now than Huck Still, I like that Bond isn't sitting idle.
Good point about the .500 thing, didn't even cross my mind. Makes more sense but still think you could of done better if announced in trade block or something.
