In a trade completed just before Opening Day by two cross town rivals, The Dodgers and Angels swapped back up catchers Miguel Olivo and Hank Conger. The move, prompted by the Dodgers, was an effort to get a little younger at the catcher spot to protect the often injured A.J. Ellis by bringing in Conger all while clearing some cap space. Miguel Olivo provides some pop for the Angels off the bench and back up Chris Iannetta.
