ROBERT WALTON RUNS WILD IN ROUT OF MISSISSIPPI STATE 56-21 True Freshman Robert Walton had a coming out party against the Mississippi State Bulldogs. After getting a few carries in the previous games, Walton was handed the reins and took over the game, scoring 4 TDs in total. The game never was in doubt as LSU went up 14-0 early and kept the Bulldogs from getting any closer than 14. QB James Robinson also had one of the better passing games of his career, throwing for 284 yards, 2 TDs and only 1 INT. The Tiger D stepped up as well, recovering 2 fumbles and sacking the Bulldogs' QB 5 times on the day. A week after Coach BP vanished and the Tigers dropped a game to the TAMU Aggies, it looks like the Tigers are back on track. After the game, Coach BP said that Walton will now be playing a greater role in games following this week, "Hell, after running all over this today, he might have just pushed himself to #1 on the depth chart". It looks like LSU may institute the "Thunder and Lightning" approach that Pete Carroll did at USC with Lendale White and Reggie Bush years ago.
