Do whatever you want sir. Apparently it's allowed , so my opinion or previous opinions of others don't matter. Rules seem like changed , so go for it. By the way, what a goal by Demsey huh! They need to step up their game tho. Especially second half was dominated by Ghana.
Yeah I think having chandler and Fabian at the RB and lb spots would be better- Beasley does what he can though so I can't fault him for that. I'm just saying, not being allowed to jockey for the ball is taking out one basic function of the game.
Eh I still see the Turkey player ahead of Jozy (I think that's) at all times, like the NHL hybrid icing I would back off since there is no chance of the US player getting there 1st aka not really a 50-50 ball. Also the constant shirt pulling even after he turns away from him should be consider pressure no? If this were assisted playing it back to the goalie would be a piece of cake, but with manual passing? Ha own goal written all over it. But you guys make the rules so I'm good with whatever y'all decide. Would be good to know for future references since I usually let up in these types of plays since my forward always trails.
I think you guys are taking a one-off situation that rarely happens (you guys that have been in the league should know this; I've never been in the above situation) and making it a bigger issue than it should be. Just my .02
This really is my final word on this: The ball is loose - it's anybody's ball. If your player is marginally ahead, I have every right to try and jockey you in the footrace to try and knock you off your stride to get to it first. That's never been in dispute and never been part of the rules. If you have a 10 yard lead on me, then yes, your possession of it is virtually guaranteed and I should probably begin to cycle my guys back so I don't get caught on the counter - guard the passing lanes and get ready for your attack. But if we're side by side or you're marginally ahead of me, I have every right to try and knock you off your stride so I can either get to the ball first or at least put you off balance so you can't turn around and whip a perfect lob to immediately begin a counter. Once you've established possession, again, I'd do best to get my defense set up for your inevitable attack. But in this case, everything happened so fast. It's not as if you had the ball and Kasper kept jumping on you for 3, 4, 5 seconds. It was less than a second from the time you first touched the ball to the time you made the motion that put it out of play. In the virtual world in which we play, there's inherently some lag between the time you tell your players to do something and the time they do it. Even if he was controlling his guy to back off, it's possible the CPU was finishing his jockey from the split second before. But the larger point is this - we've spent the better part of a week arguing a single point that doesn't happen very often. Yes, Twitch and the ability to broadcast will be a big help in rooting out obvious scofflaws come FIFA 15, but we will not let it devolve into a mechanism by which every annoying goal gets beaten to death. This is a video game and it's supposed to be fun. If you're not enjoying yourself, perhaps you should seek entertainment elsewhere. This statement is NOT addressed to any individual, but as a generality. Play within the rules as best you can and we'll have a great season. If this type of debate rages its head every week in one match or another, we're going to collapse. I'm out.
While we do not have an official commitment thread yet, please check your information in this thread to help us gauge numbers for the upcoming season. If your name is not on the list, please let me know. Once World Cup is over we will continue discussions on the new season. We've made good progress internally, but there are still things we need to iron out. If you haven't yet filled out the League Survey, please do so. Reminder that a decision on controller scheme will not be made until we have a hard copy of the game and see what is available. In the meantime it would be in your best interest to at least try manual controls, in case we go that route in the new season. Many of you have not yet joined the GroupMe chat. Social media is going to be an important part of the league going forward...more on that later in the month.
