Packers Solve Redzone Woes for 1 Week - Earn 1st Round Bye

Thanks to publik drunk , the Packers knew that if they won their Week 17 game in Lambeau against Minnesota, they would have a week off before the Divisional Round. It did not start well, however, as 2 quick Vikings scores would have the Packers in a quick 14-0 hole in the first. The offense rebounded, and took a 21-17 lead at the break. The ground attack worked well for setting up the long drives, with Lacy and Franklin each over 80 yards on the day. It was Aaron Rodgers who would finish off 3 of the 4 drives in the redzone however with touchdown passes.

With the win, not only will the Packers get a bye but they will be the host in their likely showdown with BRUCE80 's Rams.

Boda Bowl I​

Both these teams can into this game very confident. The Patriots only had 1 loss on the year and that came in week 14 against the Dolphins, since then they have been on a tear. In their first playoff game they took out the Houston Texans, the team that ended their season last year and then beat up on the Jacksonville Jaguars 38-14 in the AFC Championship Game. In the Eagles first playoff game they got revenge on the 49ers who embarrassed the Eagles back in week 11 44-9. The Eagles turned the tables on the 49ers and got a blowout win of their own 37-10. In the NFC Championship game the Eagles squeaked out a win over a very tough Rams squad 21-13. Which set up the the very first Boda Bowl.

The Eagles received the ball first and wasted no time and marched right down the field and put 7 points on the board early when Nick Foles found TE Bo Scott open in the middle of the endzone for a 9 yard TD. The Eagles would get the ball right back as Terrell Pryor threw an interception to Thomas Howard across the middle of the field. Philly tried to go for throat but that backfired and Foles ended up giving the ball right to New England on an interception. The Patriots would tie the game late in the first quarter when Pryor found Gronk behind the coverage and hit him for an easy 23 yard TD down the sideline.

Both defenses showed up in the 2nd quarter as both teams had trouble moving the ball and each QB threw another interception. The only scoring came with no time left in the half when the Eagles got a short 22 yard FG giving them a 10-7 lead at the half.

The third quarter started out with a quick 3 and out by the Patriots and the Eagles looked to extend their lead but Foles misread the coverage and threw a bad pick to Jerod Mayo which was returned 31 yards for a TD which gave the Patriots their first lead of the game. After the interception the Eagles knew that had to get back to their gameplan and run the ball and it helped right the ship as they put together a big drive and on third and goal Foles hit Maclin on a curl route which was almost picked off and Maclin squeezed his way into the endzone from 14 yards out putting the Eagles back on top 17-14 at the end of the 3rd quarter.

The 4th quarter started out great for the Eagles as they found the endzone again this time on a 2 yard TD to DeSean Jackson giving the Eagles a 24-14 lead. The Patriots would not go away and they came right back with a TD of their own from Ridley from 2 yards out. With time running out in the game The Eagles were in scoring position with 3 minutes left in the game. The Patriots defense stepped up and forced a FG and kept it a 1 score game 27-21 with only 2 minutes left. New England couldn't get a drive started though as Pryor was sacked 2 times and New England faced a 4th and 18 and The Eagles came up with a huge stop as the forced and incompletion. The Eagles would put the game away once they got the ball as LeSean McCoy punched it into the endzone from 7 yards out making the score 34-21. The Patriots ran out of time on their next drive and the Eagles got their 2nd Championship in as many years.

In a weird twist Jerod Mayo was somehow named Super Bowl MVP as he had 2 interceptions and 1 for a TD. The real MVP was LeSean McCoy who was an absolute horse throughout the whole playoffs with 30+ carries in every game and finished with 149 yards on 33 carries and 1 TD.
