That's good for the Knicks that they actually grabbed one of the stars outta all this but then again its a bad thing for the Knicks. Amare is not a back to the basket person. James or Wade in the back of their head probably wouldn't want to play with him. He's not a dominating force inside and has to credit Nash for alot of his points. But he'll be a good fit for D'Antoni's offense but I doubt anyone would actually want to play with Amare if their lookin' for ships.

Just seen that... looks like the King will stay put... his decision should be tomorrow or something like that with a blown out ESPN special

Good ish for the Heat... if Chalmers grows some balls and Beasley drops the bottle this team may be a very serious contender next year. Should be a 50+ win club easily next year.

dont count out the Knicks for Lebron just yet. ESPN is reportedly saying its a 2 team race. The Knicks and the Cavs but of course its all just speculation.

Yeah, I think we can scratch Miami off the King's list. At first, I was confident he'd stay in Cleveland, but with everyone else making moves and Cleveland staying pretty much as is, I'm leaning more towards him going to Chicago. If this happens, I'd expect Boozer to join him.

Where you been man? That was announced last night.

Just ribbing you, as a Bulls fan I'm excited about the signing, as it gives the team a low post scorer for the first time in 15 years.

BTW - The deal is final, Boozer was on Chicago radio this morning confirming that he's a Bull.

I don't see how Miami is going to be good in the short term. Someone enlighten me to many glaring holes if you look at the WHOLE team.

Dru, I knew there was something I didnt like about you and now we have it with you being a Bulls fan while living in the NY/NJ area you sell out haha! I'm a Knicks fan as sad as it has been the last 10 years. Really hoping Lebron has a NY state of mind but even if he doesnt Amare is better then anyone we have had in a long time and hopefully we can bring in Carmello next year.

Well, what's he going to do? Have a beach party in Cleveland?

I swear, these media people are so god damn dumb.

I hope he signs with Miami, that way when they still lose, we can see three primadonnas cry like little bitches.

I have only lived in NJ for 2 years. My family is originally from the Windy City and I have always been a Bulls/Bears fan.

I can respect anyone who's stuck with the Knicks since the mid 90's, it's been a long, bleak decade for that franchise.

Actually D Wade will be the only one crying when they lose since Wade is the only one who actually cares about winning first.

What I'm finding most interesting about the LBJ free agency is the public/media backlash on how self-agrandizing he's treated this whole process. Regardless of where he goes, if he thinks the media blasted him for flopping in the playoffs this year wait until he doesn't win in 2011. There isn't going to be a player with more pressure on him in the world than LBJ next year.

and this is why he will stay in Cleveland....... regardless of what happens and whether they win 6 titles or none at all, he will still be a legend in Cleveland....

But the craziest thing is that they are the ones that put him there. If I was in his position I'd do the same thing. Why not? Plus he's donating the proceeds to a charity so in a way its a good cause even though most view it as negative.

Miami will be suicide for Lebron. No guarantee they win if he goes there and will be a freeloader with no true legacy

He's not staying in Cleveland because he can't get anyone else to sign there with him. He's headed to South Beach.

    I completely Agree.

And if I was Miami, I wouldn't want James at this point. You already have to pay mucho dollars for Wade and Bosh,.. if you add James you can only afford bottom feeders. Instead, why not trade the worthless Beasley and some other bench warmers for a player like Ariza? Add yourself a veteran point guard (Derek Fisher?) And let Wade carry a team thats surrounded by good role players. ( He did take Miami to the playoffs last year with absolutely "NO" role players... just imagine what he can do with Bosh and 2 other role players?)

The Cap is $58 Million this year..... Wade and Bosh are taking up almost 2/3 of that already. If you sign Lebron... your easily looking at approx $60 million per year on 3 guys.... that gives you $10 million to spare to keep under the $69.9 million luxury tax (Beasley gets $4.5 million this year... so Miami would roughly have $5.5 million to spare.

Good luck signing guys for $5.5 million a year. Travis Outlaw just got a 5 year $35 million deal. Ray Allen just signed for 2 years, $20 Million. The only good deal I have seen is the Lakers, signing Steve Blake for 4 years, $16 million. Plus with a possible lockout after the 2010-11 season, players are looking for max contracts.

If LeBron goes to Miami.... its suicide for both parties.

They've been trying like hell to trade Beasley for the last year but nobody will take that head case. And they don't have any benchwarmers to trade. The only 2 guys currently under contract are Beasley and Mario Chalmers.

There's always the possibilities of sign and trades,... plus throw in some draft picks. There about 15 million under cap right now... with that they could land some other FA's.

This is true but they are even running out of people to sign-and-trade at this point. There is a rumor of a 4-team trade though.....

Want to know the surest way to know if “The Chosen One” will choose Miami tonight? ESPN’s Chad Ford and Marc Stein are reporting a four-team trade is currently in the works involving the Bobcats, Heat, Rockets and Raptors.

The move would help to create even more cap space for Heat, who are now hoping to also sign free agent Mike Miller along with the intended big three (LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh).

Here’s how it would all break down:

Charlotte would get Michael Beasley and Jared Jeffries
    Houston would get Tyson Chandler
Heat would get Chris Bosh and even more money
Raptors would acquire a very big trade exception and I would imagine at least one first-round pick

One source indicates the main roadblock to the trade is that Toronto is uninterested in taking on almost $3.1 million in salary from the Rockets.
