Reagan Lancaster brings a dynamic 20-year track record of continued success in the software business. Currently Mr. Lancaster holds the position of CEO at Sourcetap. Sourcetap is an offspring of Lancaster’s prior start up venture capital company, Titan Ventures. Founded to resurrect intellectual property in the technology business, Lancaster’s company has been featured in Wallstreet Journal, Fortune and Information Week. During his career Lancaster has been the head of sales and marketing, consulting, support, M&A and software development, all the way to his founding role and position as Chairman and CEO of Titan Ventures and Sourcetap. He is the driving force behind the company’s vision to be a technology leader in the open source business. Lancaster’s vision is to provide customers with software that is industrial strength and developed through thousands of distributed customers using diverse enviroments to enhance usability while maintaining a realistic pricepoint.

Prior to forming Sourcetap, he founded Titan Ventures, where his team aquired intellectual property through various creative aquisitions along with home grown development . Lancaster held multiple positions during his tenure at i2 Technologies, ultimately becoming the President of Worldwide Operations responsible for running global day-to-day business operations. Managing a team of 5,000 employees, he was responsible for a $1.2 billion revenue number. He joined i2 as Vice President, Western Region Sales and later assumed leadership of Senior Vice President of the Americas. He was then promoted to Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing and ultimately President of Worldwide Operations.

Under Lancaster’s direction, i2 experienced record growth every quarter, propelling the company from sales just over $10 million in 1995 to over $1.1 billion in 2000. He presided over 25 consecutive quarters of exceeding revenue expectations, a very successful IPO, and seven stock splits. His efforts in building the sales and supporting infrastructure, marketing strategies and value based selling methodologies led to the recognition of i2’s sales force as one of “America’s Best Sales Forces” by Sales & Marketing Management magazine in 1999 and 2000. Sales Force magazine also recognized Lancaster as one of the “Motivators of the Year” in the high tech industry. Lancaster is second to none in building and scaling international businesses. Regions included EMEA, Japan, Asia Pacific, Latin America, and Canada.

Recently, Lancaster received the “United States Leadership Award” from the US Senate and was named a Technology Allstar and Outstanding CEO by Dallas-Fort Worth TechBiz.

Lancaster has proven that valuable intellectual property often goes unnoticed and can be turned around ala i2, Oracle and Microsoft,(Fortune, Forbes, Computer World)”. Lancaster founded this idea post bubble to takeover, acquire, earn in, roll up distressed companies from fatigued private equity investors, corporate spin outs, and start ups hit upon hard times. During the 3 years that Titan was founded it has valued over 2,400 companies and acquired 15 pieces of intellectual property. Lancaster self picked 5 partners and 30 key employees since self-funding the startup himself. Lancaster has now rolled assets from Titan into Sourcetap. Lancaster founded Sourcetap as a brand new business model for the application software business where companies and developers can acquire opensource software for free. The business model is 100% driven on drag along revenue through services and software maintenance. Lancaster has received the Top CEO award given by Dallas Business Jounal and been featured in over 30 publications, radio talk shows and AMR’s Executive Speakers Panel.

Lancaster served as a member of the company’s executive committee, participating in 16 acquisitions the company completed to complement i2’s product families. He was also actively involved in the company’s investments in more than 40 portfolio companies through its Venture Business.

Lancaster’s creative initiatives at i2 regarding Value-Based Selling Methodologies, Strategic Consulting, Vertical Marketing, and Compensation and Recruiting are also well recognized in the software industry. The creation of a strategic consulting organization, using internal managers and external consultants from firms such as McKenzie, Booz Allen, Bain, Mercer and ATK, was recognized for providing deep vertical market knowledge and significantly enhancing i2 customer retention.

Lancaster is one of only three i2 employees designated as a company Fellow for his distinguished achievements and contributions, and the only employee to be named to i2’s President’s Club for six consecutive years.

Trilogy – Dallas, TX (1994 – 1995)

As Vice President of sales for Trilogy, an enterprise software company specializing in e-business solutions for the Global 2000, Lancaster built a high-performance sales team to capitalize on client-server technology. In just one year, he more than tripled revenues to $38 million from $11 million, and hired 26 people for the sales organization. Lancaster’s customer base included Boeing, IBM, Otis Elevator, Fisher Rosemont, Emerson Electric, Reynolds and Reynolds, Ditch Witch, and Alcatel, among others.

 

Oracle Corporation – Dallas, TX (1989 – 1994)

At Oracle, Lancaster quickly established himself as a sales superstar, achieving 165 percent of quota in his first year during a tough economy. In just his second year, he ranked as the number two sales professional worldwide, and the top ranked sales pro in the U.S., achieving MVP status in two U.S. regions. Lancaster was the top worldwide sales person in his third year at Oracle, and was then moved into a regional management position during his fourth year. Lancaster’s results as a manager exceeded 200 percent of quota as he was promoted from Area Manager to Regional Manager and then to Regional Vice President in a one-and-a-half year period. He was a member of the company’s President’s Club all five years.
