#1 Ole Miss at #8 Maryland

    Quick summary of the game.

First drive for Maryland ends in an interception from an Ole Miss linebacker. Running Rebels do their thing and drive up field and cap it with a three yard touchdown.

Maryland answers right back with a 54 yard touchdown pass.

Ole Miss starts to get some separation on the scoreboard in the second quarter and goes up 21-7.

Maryland is held to a field goal in the red zone, then held Ole Miss to a punt at the 42 yard line which bounced at the one yard line and into the end zone. Maryland drives 80 yards in about a minute and to cut the score to 21-17 with about a minute to play in the half. Ole Miss then fumbles the ensuing kickoff and Maryland decides to run out of bounds at the one yard line to burn more time off the clock. The Terrapins score on the next play and there's 48 seconds left in the half.

Ole Miss starts at the 20 and the first play is a 50 yard run on reverse out of the wildcat. Two plays later and the Rebels get into the end zone to go up 28-24 at halftime and receive the second half kickoff.

The first half was mostly outside runs, but once the Terps adjusted then Ole Miss started taking everything up the middle in the second half. The biggest surprise for Maryland was the passing ability of Randell Mackey who seemed to complete every third and long situation thrown at him. The offensive line gave him time in the pocket and he delivered crisp passes all game long. He finished with a passer rating of 274 on 8 of 11 passing.

Rebels controlled the clock in the second half and final score ended 45-31

    SDM is on suicide watch
