    #1 OREGON at #4 USC

6 interceptions were thrown by the USC QB Thomas Kemp. Crowder only threw one on the game. Goodman had a combined 2TD's and almost 200 yards of total offense. Quiet SS Kevin Bowling had 3INT's off of Thomas Kemp.

Yet the score was 35-34 USC.

Flashback to the start of the 4th quarter with the Oregon Ducks up 34-19. USC was in panic mode by this time as their offense had fluttered mightly. After a long score by their RB Patrick Gordon in the 1st quarter to give them the early 7-0 lead, USC's offense was at a standstill as standout QB Thomas Kemp threw pick after pick after pick. Oregon's defense was reading him like a book. "When you play USC and you know some of their coaches tendencies, you kinda feel as if you have been practicing against the USC offense the whole week," said SS Kevin Bowling. Speaking of practice, there was none for the days leading up to the big matchup as coach Mogriffjr was out with pneumonia. It was thought he wouldn't even be there for the game but 2 hours before assistant coach moreecemos was slated to coach the Ducks, Coach mogriffjr raced into the locker room. The Ducks were ready to quack.

Yet in that 4th quarter, USC struck fast and mighty. With about a whole quarter to get back, the Trojans took a long drive with Gordon and Kemp being the main cogs of the offense. Down by the goalline and ready to get back into the game, Kemp dropped back and tried to force a pass into his TE but Kevin Bowling snuck in front of the pass for an INT. Oregon wasn't out of the woods. Down by their own 4 yard line, Cory Crowder tried to hit his favorite target Ken Burton on a post route, which down by the goalline was just plain foolish. Crowder was sack rather instantly for a safety. 35-21. Less than 30 seconds later, Gordon hit paydirt with a 2 yard run which was setup by a Kemp to Browning bomb. 34-28. 10 seconds later the aformentioned play of Crowder getting picked off happened and just like that, in a span of a minute, the USC Trojans were ahead 35-34. Then the kickoff happened. Kris Moss, 3rd string WR took the kick, raced to the right and got a lovely block, juked right and saw nothing but open field. He was gasping for air as he started to run funky as he finished the beautiful kickoff to put his Ducks back on top. Crowder would later hit Goodman for two to go up 42-35.

USC still had time and worked around 4 minutes off the clock down to under 2 minutes. Kemp tried to hit #2 WR on the high post pattern but just like how Kemp started his INT affair, he ended it as 6'5" FS Robert Cunningham sealed the game jumping the route and ending all doubt that Oregon is likely headed to the National Title game to face the Purdue Boilermakers, who fended off foe OSU.

    Nice win Mo!

i'm already working your pac-10 brethren for information, but they aren't going to budge. They are rooting for their boy Griff.

Can't wait for the game. Maybe JMS can fly down here and help me get it on JustinTV.
