This Week we interview the new #1 team in the country the Oregon Ducks and their coach RyanC

    1. In two consecutive weeks you went on the road to two hostile environments in Death Valley and The Horseshoe and came out victorious. How does that feel?

    2. As previously mentioned you knocked off Ohio State in Columbus. The Buckeyes hadn't lost in 25 games. How did it feel to end the streak?

    3. You're now the #1 team in the country. How does it feel knowing you're now the hunted instead of the hunter?

    4. Oregon has been known for its offense, and this years team is no different. But the big surprise has been the lights out defense. Has the tide shifted to the defensive side of the ball and will we see a focus more on the Ducks D?

    5. Oregon's success on the field has translated to top recruits intrest off the field. How is recruiting going and is there anyone you project to be an immediate contributor?

    6. With all the points you've been scoring and all the points USC's been scoring it seems like the scoreboard won't have enough lights to show the numbers. How do you plan to contain the Trojan offense when you face them?

    7. What player on your team has been a major contributor for you so far?

    8. What remaining game on your schedule do you consider to be a tough challenge?

    9. What are your team goals and have you accomplished any of them yet?

    1. In two consecutive weeks you went on the road to two hostile environments in Death Valley and The Horseshoe and came out victorious. How does that feel?
It feels good, these kids earned it, the defense played incredible in both games and they wanted to prove that the team was not going to be all offense all year and that they can win games as well. And I have to mention Bryan Bennett, who was a key factor in the Ohio State games after we lost Darron for the game.

    2. As previously mentioned you knocked off Ohio State in Columbus. The Buckeyes hadn't lost in 25 games. How did it feel to end the streak?
I guess in retrospect it feels good, but at the time we were just focused on the game and knew we needed that win to keep our national title hopes alive, because OSU is a great squad and we knew we had to bring our A game or it was going to be over quickly.

    3. You're now the #1 team in the country. How does it feel knowing you're now the hunted instead of the hunter?
The players are enjoying it, they keep seeing themselves on ESPN every day and get a good laugh about it, but they know that it means that every week we are going to get the best shot from every opponent and I think they look forward to that challenge

    4. Oregon has been known for its offense, and this years team is no different. But the big surprise has been the lights out defense. Has the tide shifted to the defensive side of the ball and will we see a focus more on the Ducks D?
The defense is an overlooked unit because of the offensive firepower, but they have some of the best players in the country in Cliff Harris and John Boyett, and that kind of leadership has really picked up the defensive intensity and the play of Kaddu replacing Casey Matthews has been phenomenal.

    5. Oregon's success on the field has translated to top recruits intrest off the field. How is recruiting going and is there anyone you project to be an immediate contributor?
We really like Jason Williams, he is not the most highly touted recruit in the nation, but his motor and pass rushing abilities are very good, and with 3 DE's graduating he could likely be a very good depth player for this squad. We also like Allen Triplett, going into recruiting he struck our eye, reminded me a lot of our current WR Josh Huff, and luckily he had always wanted to be a Duck and committed right off the bat.

    6. With all the points you've been scoring and all the points USC's been scoring it seems like the scoreboard won't have enough lights to show the numbers. How do you plan to contain the Trojan offense when you face them?
We have to find a way to slow down those receivers, they run almost 6 deep at that position and all of them have big time pro potential. At the rate they are putting up points our best defense might have to be our offense.

    7. What player on your team has been a major contributor for you so far?
LaMichael James, without a doubt, the amount of attention he gets on option plays is going to be huge for getting Darron Thomas going this year.

    8. What remaining game on your schedule do you consider to be a tough challenge?
    Three. Miami, Stanford, and USC.

    9. What are your team goals and have you accomplished any of them yet?
Our ultimate goal is going to be a Pac 12 Championship and a shot in the National Championship game, but winning OOC games against teams from the two best conferences in college football is a big deal.

LaMichael told me to start plugging him for the Heisman already, so LMJ for Heisman
