    10' Oregon Ducks

    #22 Ducks beat #4 Trojans.

The Ducks defense forced 5 turnovers and returned a fumbled kickoff for a touch down. Joe McKnight tore up my defense for 137 yards and 2 touchdowns and one of the most impressive 74 yard runs i've ever seen.

Oregon was brutal on 3rd down (1/8) but were able to go (3/3) in the redzone with 2 touch downs and a field goal.

I pitty anyone who has to go against that USC front 7, those guys are beasts and just took my offensive line to the woodshed. I'am looking forward to the graduation of Everson Griffin (10 tackles, 5 tfl, 2 sacks).

The Ducks have secured 7 recruits, all recruited by the previous regime.

    DT#1 D.J. Warren - 5 Star - Pass rusher
    6'4 266

Notes: Extremely athletic, will likely step into the starting lineup at three technique the minute he steps on campus. He will be an anchor for the middle of our defense for the next 3 seasons.

FS # 2 Demetrius Powers - Five Star - Hard Hitter (Juco)
    6'4 225

Notes: Another extremely athletic and physical player , he will be asked to roam centerfield early on for the Ducks defense. The only down fall to Demetrius as he only has two years of remaining eligability.

SS #12 Geremy Washington - 4 star - Hard Hitter
    6'4 218

Notes: Physically fit for many positions, he can be as good as he wants to be... 4 year starter potential

CB #9 Clint Mitchell - 4 Star - Hard Hitter
    6' 192

Notes: Physical corner who isn't afraid to play the run, excellent in man coverage

    WR # 5 Ron Sullivan - 4 star - Balanced
    6'1 194

Notes: Good athlete who will compete in the stable of Wide outs, can contribute early with several key contributors leaving this year.

    DT # 6 Blake Jones - 4 Star - Balanced
    6'1 272

Notes: He will need some seasoning before he sees the field, neither strong nor fast...... will probably play in DJW's shadow for the duration of his career although he has potential as a 43 one technique if he can find the weightroom.

    P # 9 Victor Jones - 3 Star - Balanced
    5'11 177

Notes: Strong leg, could prove to be very valueable in negating the great pac-10 returners.

Ducks down #18 Huskies at home 55-17

The good - Three Oregon running backs combined for yards. True Freshman Charles Gibbons picking up 108 yards on 11 carries in with 9 of those coming in the 4th quarter as the Ducks tried to kill the clock.

The Bad - Both Gibbons and Senior Remene Alston Jr. fumbled the ball, for the only Oregon turnovers of the day.

The Ugly - The Alston fumble was returned 87 yard for a touchdown by Washington Senior Saftey Nate Williams.

Player of the Game: Previously benched by Coach Huronia because he was seen as too light to play DE at 222 lbs, Matt Simms took out all his aggression on the coach this day, he had 13 tackles, 4 tfl and 3 sacks and a forced fumble.
Its safe to say the Redshirt Junior will be in the starting lineup for the remainder of this season.

    Ducks Down Navy 56-7

The Good - Oregon rushed for 408 yards and 7 touchdowns, true Freshman runningback Charles Gibbons lead the way with 6 rushing touchdowns. This gives Gibbons his 2nd consecutive 100 yard game, in only his 2nd game of action this season... he was previously redshirting but coach Huronia decided to burn his redshirt since the Oregon backs are all so frail and have difficulty finding the endzone. If James (1157 yds, 15 tds) leaves he could easily be the featured man next season.

The Bad - Navy was held to only 30 yards on 32 carries

THe Ugly - Oregon physically beat up Navy, 28 combined pancakes for the Oregon offense, and they did not attempt a pass in the 2nd half. QB Masoli was pulled with 3 minutes left in the first half.

Civil War Lives up to the Billing

This Civil War had everything, snow, fumbles, special teams touchdowns... even overtime

Playing in the mist of a blizzard Oregon State opened the game up with a dominating drive capped off by Power RB McCants on a 13 yard reception.

The next drive Oregon quickly responded, moving the field in a very explosive manner. RB James rushed in for a 3 yard TD.

The 2nd Quarter saw Oregon get a key defensive stop, and Oregon add a long 41 yard Field goal. In this quarter star runningback LaMicheal James was hurt, and Charles Gibbons was forced to carry the load the rest of the game.

The next drive Oregon State was forced to punt, returner Jamere Holland was too late in his fair catch and was rocked immediately after touching the ball, he fumbled and the gunner ran it in for a major.
At the conclusion of the 1st half Oregon State made a 28 yard field goal to go into the locker room up 17-0.

The opening drive of the 2nd half saw Oregon put together 75 yard scoring drive, capped off with a 3 yard Gibbons rushing touchdown.

The game was tied 17-17 going into the 4th quarter.

Early in the 4th Quarter Oregon's Gibbons scored once again on a 3 yard run.

Oregon State quickly responded with a passing touchdown to RB McCants.

With 1:30 left Oregon State had the ball with 2 timeouts, on their own 20, with the game tied at 24. However they were unable to muster any points with this effort although they did cross mid-field.

In overtime Oregon won the toss, and elected to play defense.

Oregon State scored with a punishing drive, capped off with a Stephenson rushing touchdown. However on the extra point the State kicker missed the extra point .

At this point super sophmore LaMicheal James was healthy, on the first play from scrimmage in overtime he busted a 25 yard to get deep in Beaver territory. The Ducks then punched the ball in on 3rd down with James, and the Ducks converted the extra point.

    Final Score 31-30.

Oregon will now head to the Rose Bowl, and will most likely play an AT Large as Big 10 Champion Ohio State will likely be playing for a national championship.
