With Dru50 's departure we have 4 teams in the east and 6 in the west. If nobody from the West wants to move to the East (move their team, they dont have to take Georgia) we are looking at moving to a 10 team conference. With Josh's departure looming, we'll be down to nine in no time. Thoughts?

I have some sliders we use in our little Pac12 OD we can try if you guys want. I think they make the CPU much more relevant and cougs, boom and I even lose to the CPU on occasion. Im sure the good players in the league will have no trouble with them but its something we need to consider. Here is what they look like:

    User CPU
    QB Accuracy 10 50
    Pass Blocking 40 70
    WR Catching 45 45
    RB Ability 40 100
    Run Blocking 50 90
    Pass Coverage 55 75
    Pass Rush 35 55
    Interceptions 35 50
    Rush Defense 50 55
    Tacking 50 55
    FG Power 50 50
    FG Accuracy 40 45
    Punt Power 40 40
    Punt Accuracy 40 75
    Kickoff Power 45 50

FWIW - I think this is the way for you guys to go. Removes the CPU teams from the conference and also removes the need to balance the divisions. Best long term solution to me.

I like the 10-team conference. We get to play every user every year and it should be more competitive. Of course that will mean a lot more 48-hour advances which I'm fine with personally.

And we won't have to slug through the Ole Miss's and Vandy's every year.

Sliders: I'm cool with anything, though that CPU HB ability + run blocking seems like it could lead to MTSU running for 200 yards on me!

Conference: a guaranteed 8 or 9 user games per season is a lot. WGW said last year that 9 was exhausting, lol. It also means we are more likely to have guys miss bowl games. In the RL SEC Mizzou is an SEC east team. You could move me out east and put one of the CPU schools in the west. Besides, I thought you were interested in UGA over Auburn recchem2000 ?

Also, we could reduce the divisions to 7 and 7 instead of 8 and 8 which means you are more likely to have a user game in cross divisional games (or even go down to 6 and 6)

Just played a quick game with the sliders. I liked them. And if yall have been using them in the pac 12 od, then I dont see why not to use them.

I think 6 and 6 would be the other option to a 10 team conference.

I'm not going to lie - I have absolutely no interest in deviating that far from realism. I may have to call it quits here....

I knew you were gonna say that. Cheez, you bitch about CPU games so here is the solution. Realism is only in the eye of the beholder. Im trying to hold this thing together and make it good experience that everyone will continue to be interested in.

I at least found a solution for the CPU games that leads to realistic W/L ratio ...

Yeah. It at least gives the CPU a chance of winning if they are a good team.

So you think we should have to sim defense instead of altering an already altered conference setup?

I don't care what you guys do as far as cpu games. I'm just saying what works for me.

Yes conference editing...moving and/or taking teams out of the SEC.

Do whateves. I'm in regardless. I think a better CPU experience will help though, so if the sliders give CPU a chance, I'm down. On the conference thing..... Don't care. :)
