Miss State won the toss and elected to kick off. The MSU kicker elected to kick to Colin Larmond, who returned the kick for a TD. The score would stay 7-0, until 6 seconds left in the half, when Dave Shinskie scored on a sneak on a 4th & 1 inch play. BC added a FG in the 3rd quarter and led 17-0 at the end of the quarter. In the 4th quarter, the BC defense scored touchdowns on back to back plays, including P Ryan Quigley scoring on a fumbled kickoff. MSU added some garbage TDs against BC's prevent defense.

Boston College made the poll pickers this week happy by defeating FSU in Chestnut Hill to move to 1-0 in the ACC. Dave Shinskie made up for last week's performance, by throwing for 280 yards and 2 TD with no turnovers. Also, I had a couple lucky breaks from the computer. Miami 48

BC gets smacked by Miami, as QB Dave Shinskie threw 5 INT and missed open receivers all day. The running game was non-existent and attempts to get the HBs involved in the passing game resulted in drops. This was a frustrating game to play, as Miami's HB Miller broke multiple tackles en route to 305 rushing yards for Miami.

    Wake 24
    #13 BC 31

This was a game of runs. Wake Forest took the early lead, scoring 17 unanswered first quarter points, capitalizing off 4 Dave Shinskie interceptions. BC's offensive line would have trouble with protection throughout the first half. Boston College would rally in the second quarter to put up 10 points, including a nice drive at the end of the half with a minute to go to score a FG. In the second half, Wake Forest received the ball with a 17-10 lead. But, they were forced to put to the Eagles on their first drive. BC would score 14 more unanswered points in the 3rd quarter to cap off their 24 point run. After that score, Wake would answer the challenge, driving down the field behind the running game to tie the game at 24 in the 4th quarter. Boston College then went down the field behind a balanced attack to take a 31-24 lead. The Deacons would throw an INT on their next possession and BC was able to run out the clock for the win.

The Boston College defense came out fast in this game, stuffing the UCF attack. However, the offense could not get anything going early. The starting defense only gave up 7 points in this one. Dave Shinskie caught fire late in the second quarter, after missing on his first 7 attempts. BC welcomes conference favorite NC State to Chestnut Hill next week.

Boston College won a hard fought 37-35 victory in front of 40,000 rabid fans in Chestnut Hill. This game was decided by turnovers, as NC State's Russell Wilson threw 3 INTs. BC's attack on offense was balanced, scoring twice on the ground and twice through the air. The Eagles were up 20 points at one point, but NC State was able to make a comeback behind Wilson's 420 passing yards. NCSU was unable to pick up the onside kick with 30 seconds left to play.

Inconsistent Dave Shinskie showed up and tossed 4 INTs as Boston College fell in College Park to eliminate any chance at a conference or national championship. Shinskie missed his spots on a couple receivers, which led to the interceptions, while Maryland also had a defensive lineman jump 8' in the air to intercept one and a one-handed MLB interception. The running game didn't get going very well, as no one blocked. Good game timpe.

The Boston College defense came out with their hair on fire, holding ULL to only 1 first down in the first quarter and a half of play. The offense was able to find a running game, as Montel Harris went for over 100 yards against the computer for the first time this season.
