They had an opportunity to take the lead and possibly the win, but a forth down conversion fell short as Ole Miss took another victory, this time over USC.

Herb Smith played a much better game than last week, throwing for 265 yards and not throwing any interceptions. USC overall couldn't muster enough points as the Ole Miss defense was able to get pressure in key situations and kept USC from getting any sort of rhythm throughout the game. The USC defense played well enough to win the game, but could have helped with a turnover or two. This was a back and forth struggle that ended up in Ole Miss's favor.

    Key Stat:
    3rd down conversions

    USC: 3/10
    Ole Miss: 3/9
