The Tigers play for keeps.
You wouldn't get him, if I could place a claim on him...
Well... Fuck... Wish you could see their full contract from the report linked... I had a boner when I saw his salary, but now, just looked at his full contract... YIKES. I can have it so that this trade doesn't work out right?
if the Reds release him outright, you are stuck with him. if not, you are ok
Stuck with him and that contract???
Not being able to see that contract really puts the screws to a guy... Can I reneg for the love of god?
you get 24 hours to claim the guy, plenty of time to look at a player on ootp and not be a dingus.
So Milwaukee has 24 hours to work out a deal with me correct? If we can't come to terms I can give the player to him for nothing either, right?
I am relinquishing the rights to Joey Votto to Milwaukee.
Can you even do that?
I am giving Joey Votto and his contract until he is 40 to you. Is that easier to understand?
Of course he can, otherwise there would be know risk in making a claim. That's why most people would let him clear waivers and then trade for him.
You guys are doing this incorrectly...
This forum is for trying to trade guys by clearing waivers and then trading. The game does not handle this correctly (which is why it is being eliminated for the next season)
If a team claims a player, the winning team can then work out a trade. If a trade cannot be worked out, the player must clear waivers again.
If you want to give a player away, waive him in game.
Coming off like a dick there. He is looking for clarification on the rule. It does state in there that this is NOT the place to waive players you don't want on your roster
Exactly. If you want to give a player away waive him in game.
My intention was to put him on waivers then have a team that could actually afford him claim him
[8:46:23 PM] Ross Wheeler: then work out a deal
I was not trying to just give the player away.
If multiple teams claim a player and the team who wins the rights cannot work out a deal, you have to waive him again. Blocking a division rival by claiming a player and not trading for him is perfectly acceptable.
So people can just claim people to block another team from getting him with no intention to trying to trade for the player? That makes sense..
