    2010-2011 Colorado Buffaloes!!! GO BUFFS!

With the 2010 season coming to a start, the Buffs knew they had to make some changes. The Buffs fired coach mcyork after a dissapointing 9-4 start. Old Pigskin Bullies Iowa Head coach Mamba was able to coach the Buffs and lead them to a huge rivalry win over the Rams, 65-31.

The Buffs came out with a fierce look in each of their eyes. Almost everyone thinking they willwin this one. Earlier in the week Coach Mamba claimed "We will win by ATLEAST 21 points". The did that so.

Star Runningback Darrell Scott pulled away with an amazing 34 carrier for 305 yards with 4 touchdowns and caught 3 balls for 30 yards.
Mr. Cody Hawkins had a good day passing the ball, throwing 20 times and completing 13 of them for 177 yards and 2 touchdowns 1 INT.
The defensive leader for the Buffes was Jeremy Hawkins who had 9 Tackles and 1 TFL.

The Buffs offense was unstoppable, great run blocking and great pass blocking. "Wow Kurk, it looks like the best blocking in the nation out there for the Buffs!" Lee Corso exclaimed on one of Darrell Scott's big runs. They led the game everywhere. Better coaching; better athletes; and better confidence. "The reason CSU scored so much is because I sent 8 men atleast every down in the third quarter.. We will have a great defense this year"

    Lets get onto the Highlights

Buffs win a huge conference game in last minute, 42-35.

The Buffs and Raiders went back and forth the whole game. The Buffs opened up first with some big runs by star RB Darrel Scott followed by a 45 yard TD pass to Steve McKnight. TTU responded after a fumble to tie the game up 7-7 with the end of first quarter. King Scott got hurt and would be out for 2 quarters. CU was still able to keep on the offensive with a quick and fire striking offensive passing game in which QB Cody Hawkings would finish the game with 314 total passing yards and 4 touchdowns (3 pass 1 rush) with 0 INTs. TTU's quarterback however, was the star of the game. That is however, untill King Scott came back in. He had 14 rushes for 86 yards and 1 rushing touchdown. That touchdown, was a 56 yard QB option with three broken tackles, and yes, he is white. TTU got up 28-14 and the stadium was going silent entering the second half. Then when King Scott stepped onto the field, the crowd was ecstatic. Darrell Scott was able to score on a 72 yard screen pass untouched and later on after a key third and short stop King Scott was able to get 4 rushes for 54 yards on one drive to tie the game up, 28-28. On the ensuing drive after 2 punts, with 6:00 left on the clock, TTU's quarterback would find his WR wide open for a 91 yard touchdown pass. CU's 12th man stayed in it though, knowing King Scott was going to win this one. Suprisingly, the passing attack is what led this drive. Cody Hawkings throwing 4 balls and connecting on all 4 for 56 yards. Darrell Scott was able to take it in with a 1 yard score. 4:55 left on the clock. TTU recieves, brings it down to the 36. After two first downs, TTU came out in 5 wide every single time, matched against a Dime 3-2-6. Defensive minded Coach Mamba was able to confuse TTu O-Line by sending his D-Tackle in contain and his DE's inside. To force to QB to roll out and throw off his back foot. TTU was held with 2:45 left, score 35-35. After the punt, the first play, was all Scott. It was the same screen play they scored on before and this time picked up 62 yards. After a series of great runs the clock was downed with 1:01 left on 3rd in two. The Buffs come out in I formation Slot back out left. But wait, they audible into 5 wide! Genious Cody Hawkins making audibles like Peyton Manning. He reconizes the OLB blitzing, leaving 2 on 3 in man coverage. Darrell Scott was wide open for a ten yard pass TD. 54 left. TTU would drive 25 yards and throw and interception with 20 seconds left, thats the game.

The three highlight plays will be up tomorrow.

    Good Game Marcman.
