    2010 - 2011 Preseason Preview [SEC]

    Florida Gators

2009-Going 12-0 during the season, Florida didn't show the dominance in 2008, surprising because they had most of their players back for 2009. Offensively the Gators struggled in a few games, like the games against Arkansas, LSU, and Tennessee. The SEC championship game was a disaster getting stomped by the Thundering herd of Alabama 32-13. Luckily they came back and put a beating on Cincinnati 51-24.

What to watch for- John Brantley and the amazing recruiting class of the Gators. Can Brantley follow the footsteps of Tebow and be a NFL prospect QB? Considering the offensive line is still intact and the skill positions are stacked, there isn't too much room for him to fail. Some of the star players to watch for is new recruit Mack Brown mix in with Jeff Demps, Emmanual Moody and Chrs Rainey. This team is really stacked.

    LSU Tigers

2009-Considering the Tigers weren't that good this year, their record wasn't bad at all. Going 9-4 LSU scratched and clawed for most of their wins. The offense was last in yards in the SEC and the defense was questionable at best, especially considering the dominant defenses in the previous years. Losing to Alabama 24-13 lost any hope for a conference championship and then losing to Penn State in the Capital Bowl 19-17 shows that much works needs to get done come next season.

What to watch for- The offensive line was terrible last season. It'll be interesting to see if they can provide the holes for some type of run game come 2010 season. Thankfully they have 8 starters returning on offense, so they are expected to improve offensively. Defensively they lost 3 defensive lineman but gain many high rated recruits to fill those positions. Corner Patrick Peterson is looking to be a shut down type corner this year.

Can QB Jordan Jefferson utilze his weapons Terrence Toliver, Rueben Randall and Russell Shepard? Last year he racked up just over 2000 pass yards 17 TDs with only 7 INTs.
