    Texas A&M 51 Vanderbilt 40

Texas A&M started fast in this ball game taking an early 10-0 lead after a 39 yard field goal. Vandy proceeded to storm back with a 25 yard pass of their own. The teams traded shots the rest of the first half. At the break the score was 24-17. Neither teams defense showed much in the first half. Vanderbilt takes the opening kick off of the second half and marchs down the field and scores on a two yard plunge by K. Reeves tieing the score at 24-24.
From this point on Texas A&M took over the ball game, rattling off 24 straight points. The Aggies scored touchdowns on plays of 35,22 and 16 yards. This is where the game got a little crazy. Vanderbilt proceeded to score 16 straight points in under two minutes, recovering an onsides kick in the procees. The game was all but over when the second onsides kick attempt was recovered by the Aggies.

The Jayhawks were not match for the 5th ranked Aggies. This game was never really in question. The Jayhawks took the opening kick off and went 3 and out. From there the Aggies went on to hang half-a-hundred on Kansas. Player of the game Jerrod Johnson threw for 261 yards and two touchdowns. He also added 75 yards on the ground. Running back Cyrus Gray ran for a team high 89 yards and added two scores. Back up running back Bradley Stephens saw his first extended action of the season when Gray was for to the side line with a hip injury. He finished the day with 87 yards on 12 carries for a robust average of 7.2 yard a carry.
