    2010 Holiday Bowl
    #22 Missouri – 28
    USC - 14

San Diego, CA – The Missouri Tigers capped off the 2010 season with a 28-14 victory over the USC Trojans in the Holiday Bowl in San Diego. Junior QB Blaine Gabbert threw 3 TD passes and HB Kendial Lawrence ran for one. The Tiger defense forced 3 turnovers, including 2 picks. The USC offense was able to move the ball effectively on the ground but couldn’t score in the red zone.

Coach Recchem had this to say “Growing up in Southern Calilfornia, I was always a UCLA fan and hated USC with a passion, so this was a sweet win for me personally and our program.â€

The Tigers cap finish the season 10-3 while the Trojans finish up 7-6.

I don't even know what to say about that game other than it was a disaster.

Texas, I tried to upload highlights but he invited me and left the game quickly so the upload failed. As soon as his uploads to dynasty wire I'll write something.

Weird, it's showing the game has been played but since I couldn't upload anything I can't see any of the stats.

    OT
    Virgina Tech 20
    Texas 17

Again can't see any stats or anything but what stands out in my mind is me throwing a pick at his 10 on 1st down, me shanking a FG off the left upright and in to the end zone, my WR fumbling at my own 40 and him scooping it up and returning it to my 20ish setting up his first TD, another WR fumbling at his 10 in the fourth quarter killing another drive, me scoring with :32 seconds to pretty much seal the game, him hitting the 5th WR on a 5 WR four vert in double coverage, him hitting a go in double coverage where my DB's batted the ball into his WRs hand setting him up at my 23 again, and him throwing into double coverage for a 3rd time and again to the 5th WR for the TD with :07 on the clock.

In OT Gilbert fumbled on a sack on 2nd and goal and him kicking the FG for the win.

Texas ran into another super team. Unfortunately, Nebraska wasn't it and couldn't hold their own. My freshman QB showed he wasn't ready for big tome but he did well. Congrats hokie!

Yeah sorry for leaving game quickly after, wifey was yelling at me to hurry up and pack. (out of town as of now). I wish we would have saved some highlights. Would have liked to see Boykins sidline grab at the end of the game again.

But Nikpin pretty much summed it up. He had some extreme bad luck oppose to my extreme good luck. I will add this was a defensive battle through 3 quarters. Score was 3-3. Next time you should not have scored at the end, eat the clock, and kick the game winning FG leaving no time left. After last seasons miracle win against Nebraska, you should know better than to leave Tyrod with 30 secs left to drive 80yds for the tie/win.

GG Nikpin, and like I said you deserved that one...

Yea I figured you had to bail to get out of town pretty quick. I went back and watched the highlight and it hit off my safety who was playing over the top right into your WRs hands who was hit out of bounds my by corner. I really don't know that I could have done anything to stop you on that drive as every play was pretty much thrown into double coverage.

Yea it was a definite defensive battle. I can't see the total yards but I bet they were both pretty low as we did a bunch of punting. I was honestly so shocked to see my RB so wide open that I didn't even think about going down and kicking the FG. In hindsight that definitely would have been a good idea but the way fumbles had been going for me and your lack of passing game I really wasn't worried at all after scoring it.

It was a good game regardless though and hopefully we can play again next year.
