Clemson Crushes Mean Green In Opening Game
The running game and defense lead to a 35-3 defeat today over North Texas. While the passing game was surprisingly off today with Kyle Parker, the running game was hitting all cylinders. Andre Ellington led the way with 82 yards and a touchdown on 10 attempts. What Parker couldn't do passing (9/19 103yds), he did with his feet with 2 touchdowns with 80 yards on 4 carries.

The defense only allowed 133 yards of total offense, and limited the Mean Green to to 30 yards rushing. They got in on the scoring as well with a fumble recovery in the endzone. That was one of 3 turnovers caused by the Tiger defense.

Next week Clemson travels to Seattle to play at Huskie Stadium.

Harper Leads Way Over Huskies, Clemson Wins 24-10
The passing game problems continue to be a concern for Clemson faithful, but thankfully the running game is bailing them out. After spreading the workload out last week among 3 guys, Jamie Harper put the load all on his back today, rushing for 207 yards and 3 touchdowns. Kyle Parker only threw for 48 yards and the timing just seems to be off between him and his receivers.

Defensively, they came up with timely turnovers and helped the Tigers survive a pesky Washington team. A fumble off an option helped turn into 3 points and a tipped interception led to 7 points as well.

Despite being 2-0, there is a lot of improvement before Clemson gets into conference play.

Parker Comes Alive, Upset #20 Cardinal 20-10
Well after two weeks of miserable play regarding the passing game, Clemson picked a good game to finally get going. Star QB Kyle Parker had struggled in the previous two games, but threw for over 200 yards on 15/22 passing and two touchdowns. His biggest play however, was when he scrambled for 42 yards on a crucial 3rd down.

Again defense proves to be the biggest strength of this Tiger squad. Having allowed only 23 points on the year so far. Two huge turnovers were the difference in this game. Both coming in the endzone on interceptions. Stanford had outgained them, but committing those two turnovers in the redzone were what cost them the game.
