    Week 8

    Wisconsin - 14
    Iowa - 21

A rough and tumble kind of game, like the Big 10 of old. Iowa was able to hold on to the victory in part to the running of sophomore Brandon Wegher. He carried the ball 18 times for 137 yards and a TD. Brandon also caught a TD pass. Ricky Stanzi continued his inconsitent play, throwing 2 TDs but also throwing 2 picks. All American John Clay had a decent game for his standards, rushing for 110 on 23 carries. However John fumbled late in the 4th as the Badgers were driving, sealing the deal for the Hawkeyes.

    Iowa pummels Indiana, 45-6

Bloomington, IN. The Iowa Hawkeyes took care of business today, defeating the Indiana Hosiers 45-6. The Iowa running game and run defense were the story in this one. The Hawkeyes rushed for over 250 yards, controlling the clock and the tempo of the game. The defense held Indina to –21 rushing yards, forcing the Hosiers to put the ball in the air more than would have liked.

The Hawkeyes are on the road next week, taking on Northwestern.
