2010 Kansas Jayhawks Lawrence, KS (AP) -- Kansas starts the 2010 season with a new QB, new offense, and a new scheme on defense. Kansas has moved away from the spread and will be utilizing the running game much more. On defense, Kansas will employ the 4-2-5 in an effort to combat against the pass-happy teams that comprise the Big 12. Coach Max looks to rebound from last year's embarrassing loss to Texas in the Big12 championship game. The Jayhawks' schedule sets up nicely as they do not face The Longhorns in regular season play, and have a favorable Big12 line-up. Kansas started off their new season with a bang demolishing a hapless Duke squad(stats to come). Some commentators scoffed at KU's preseason ranking, but the boys from Lawrence are anxious to prove they belong among the elite.
