2010 Louisville Cardinals New Coach Here to Stay? JONESBORO, Arkansas. - Senior Quarterback Justin Burke lead the Cardinals to a 45-15 win over Arkansas State in Jonesboro on Saturday. Burke went 24-31 with 304 yards and 3 touchdowns. Newly appointed head coach, Coach GameTape, had this to say at the press conference after the game, "We played well today. We came out a little nervous I think, but nothing that couldn't be fixed at half time." Louisville had a 10-0 lead on Arkansas going into the half, and Burke had thrown all three of his interceptions for the game before the half. "Just confusion," Burke had to say about the picks, "Coach brought in a new playbook for us that we're not used to, and we just had some mis-communication in the first half." Halfback Victor Anderson also broke 100 yards for the day, rushing 29 times for 168 yards and 3 touchdowns. Louisville's defense was stifling, pitching a shutout until late in the 3rd, "We held them to about 200 yards of offense I think, even with their running back going over 100, so that tells you something about our defense." Coach GameTape had to say. Louisville is off next week, followed by a showdown with #9 ranked USF in Week 4. This will be a statement game for the new coach, who hopes to take care of business against a powerful Bulls squad.
