Star Level Name Pos. Rank Size
    :4stars: Jermaine Goodwin QB #3 6'3'' 177 lbs.
    :4stars: Marques Bennett T #4 6'3 285 lb
    :4stars: Brady Thomas MLB #12 5'11 208 lbs.
    :4stars: Jesse Harris MLB #13 5'9'' 218 lbs
    :3stars: James Burns G #

These signings were all at positions of needs for Ohio State. Goodwin has good speed and decent throwing numbers. He probably won't start next season but could see playing time late in games to get experience. Burns and Bennett provide depth for offensive line. Losing a lot of talent in next two seasons so trying to bring in young players who can add depth. Harris and Thomas will replace the two walk-on players from last season. Both are undersized but not fast enough to move to another position. I may redshirt both players so they can bulk up a bit.

The 2011 - 2012 recruiting class is complete for Ohio State. The Buckeyes signed 13 players this offseason, the maximum allowed by team due to NCAA rules. Ohio State will only be allowed to sign additional players if another roster spot opens up on the team. The small class is loaded with talent and features 3 of the 5 best players in the country according to Rivals.com. Burley and Clark were the biggest signings in the class. Johnson, Sanders, Williams, and Carter are also expected to contribute early for Ohio State. Logan and Turner are unheralded recruits with the potential to develop into stars. Ray fills a vital need for Ohio State, the Buckeyes have struggled in kicking game thanks to weak leg of Jackson.

The board above has been updated with overall ratings for each player.

The Buckeyes finished the 2011-2012 class by adding Tony Martinez. The :4stars: offensive tackle was a huge signing for Ohio State and he will start as a true freshman.

Overall the Buckeyes finished 11th in recruiting rankings which is great considering the small class size. The best overall player in the class is Martinez and :5stars: CB Marcus Clark. :5stars: WR Devin Burley was also a huge signing for Ohio State. The team is hopeful he can contribute in the 5th WR slot like Billy Crowell did the past season. Billy Crowell, Brown and Burley gives Ohio State a talented young receiving core. With veterans Duron Carter and James Jackson, the Buckeyes have one of the best receiving crews in the country.
