    week 1

    Oregon 38
    Vanderbilt 24

Oregon got a little more from Vandy than they were expecting. DB Javes Lewis picked off a tipped pass on Vandy's opening drive. Massoli drove the ducks down to about the 20, but had to settle for a FG. After a Vandy punt, Massoli drove the Ducks downfield for a 1 yard LeMicheal James TD run. Vandy stormed back, mixing up their playcalling and scoring 2 TD's to make it 14-10. The Ducks defense was tackling like 13 year old girls. On the next drive, Massoli was knocked out of the game on an option keeper. Back-up QB Darron Thomas came in and the Ducks offense didn't miss a beat. Aside from a James fumble, the Ducks offense was perfect. Thomas finished the game with over 330 yards passing, 3 TDs and 72% completion percentage. Senior WR Jamere Holland caught 9 balls for over 140 and a score.

Heading into a tough match-up with Tennessee next week, the Ducks will be looking to improve their defense. Vandy rushed for almost 180 yards, which is not going to get it done.

Big road victory for the Ducks. The Ducks never trailed, scoring the first 16 points. The Ducks defense started it off with a safety. WR Jamere Holland caught 2 td passes and Jeremiah Masoli threw for 371 yards and 3 td passes and ran for another. The Ducks defense showed up finally, holding the Vols under 250 yards total offense and returning a int for a td.

Conference play starts next week against WSU.

If there ever was a game to examine the sliders, this was it. When your defensive end can disengage a tackle and drop back 5 yards to intercept a slant pass and then break 3 tackles to return his interception 65 yards for a TD............well, this is sim football at its best. Let's just say......there was NO way Oregon could win this one.

What a difference a week makes. Everyone in Eugene is much happier after a huge win against ASU. Led by junior QB Jeremiah Masoli, the Ducks pounded the ball against ASU, rushing for 250 yards and 3 scores. Masoli also passed for 287 and 2 TD's. Great win gets the Ducks back on track in the Pac-10.

Masoli leads the way again with over 300 total yards of offense and 2 total TD's. LeMicheal James ran for 3 scores and 95 yards as the Ducks improve to 4-1.
