    Ryan Mallett - Arkansas

Could be the 1st pick of the 2011 NFL draft and with improved accuracy and an upset of Alabama in Fayetteville could have a huge season. Bobby Petrino's quarterbacks have always had big secord seasons, and Mallett is the most talented thrower Petrino has coached.

    Dion Lewis - Pittsburgh

The game's most complete runner, he has power and speed and shifty cutback ability. As the spread offense continues to take over, his throwback, 30-carries-a-game style is refreshing. Pitt has enough balance in the passing game that lewis could reach 2,000 rushing yards.

    Terrelle Pryor - Ohio State

He won't wow you with numbers, but the Buckeyes could be unbeaten in November and his dual-thread ability will be the reason. Vince Young used a moster game in the 2005 rose bowl as a springboard to a breakout season. Pryor could do the same thing and get the Buckeyes back to the BCS National Championship game.

    Kellen Moore - Boise State

A season of potential firsts: the first non-BCS team to play in the BCS national championship game and the first player from a non-BCS team to win the heisman Trophy in the BCS era. An efficient big game passer, Moore has lost once in 26 career starts and could be the NCAA's all-time leader in that category by the end of his career.

    Mark Ingram - Alabama

The blunt truth, he's not the best tailback on his own team, but he fits perfectly with what the Tide want to do offensively and always plays big in important games. He's the leader from day 1, but doesn't have the cache of previous winners to stay on top without another big season.

Nice list. I think we'll know if Moore is a legit contender after week 1.
