2010 USC Trojans
San Jose State Spartans
Summary to follow.
Week three in a suprise loss to Washington we had no answer for counters, sweeps and slant patterns. Ever after our D coordinator had seen plenty of the Husky plan we just couldnt seem to be in the right place enough to get thier O off the field.
We also couldnt figure out the PA pass which we were burned with on third down on more then one occation. The running game was working well for the Huskies so maybe that is why our D continued to be fooled by the PA pass.
A couple times we were in the right spot we just couldnt make the play.
On O we had two very solid drives going when our goto player McKnight decided to fumble the ball after a big run twice and both fumbles were recovered by the Huskies.
It was just one of those games that nothing much goes right.
We lost 38-31.
Week 4 brought the down trodden Cougars.
USC would jump on them early and then coast to a victory. This game saw McKnight get hurt and some other key USC players started to go down we pulled the plug a bit early on our starters and it showed as we stuggled the rest of the game on O.
Our D was stellar and young players got plenty of playing time in this game.
McKnight will miss a week or two.
USC wins 29-7.
USC at ND this week, Pictures to come..
Finally some news on the recruiting hunt.
USC signs the #3 and #4 recruits in the Country.
Bonus recruit #1 OLB and a stud #1 SS. The SS most likely will start as a true freshman.
All other five star players have been removed from our board as we prepare to pour time into some four star players.
Lewis Ewing SS # 4 player in the country and #1 SS overall.
Ben McCoy OLB #3 player in the country and #1 OLB overall.
With those two out of the way we focus on bringing in some DB's since we have five seniors seeing the field this year.
Two CBs, Two SSs and one FS.
We also have our sights set on a couple of Ath that may transition to the secondary when they hit campus.
