Like they always say, if you are going to lose, lose early. I think you lost week 2 and Texas lost in week 5 so there you have it.

    2010 Week 13
    UCLA Bruins – 24
Arizona State Sun Devils - 20

Tempe, AZ – In an ugly game offensively, the UCLA Bruins used a 17 point 4th quarter to take down the Arizona State Sun Devils in Tempe on Saturday. The Bruins were thoroughly frustrated on offense through the entire 1st half and into much of the 3rd quarter. Fortunately for UCLA, their defense took things into their own hands and turned the tide.

In the third quarter, LB Akeem Ayers sacked ASU QB Steven Threet causing a fumble which was scooped up by the Bruins and returned for the score. This play seemed to turn the tide as it got the Bruins on the scoreboard and energized the demoralized team.

UCLA would open the scoring in the 4th quarter, as Kevin Prince hit a 51 yard TD pass to make the score 20-14 Sun Devils. Again, the defense would make a play. Akeem Ayers again hit Threet just as he was throwing the ball forcing a bad pass and an interception deep inside Sun Devil territory. The UCLA offense would capitalize as Prince hit the FB on a swing route for 7 yard TD pass. The Bruins would take the lead with the extra point and hold on down the stretch, tacking on another 3 points with just under a minute to play.

The Bruins improve to 6-5 on the season, winners of 3 in a row. Now the annual hate fest with the Trojans awaits!

The "Battle For The Jeweled Shillelagh" is one of the most historic and biggest college Rivalries in NCAA History. But since 2002 the USC Trojans havent lost the game.. and they continued that winning streak today...

Dillon Baxter was amazing again, going for over 160 yards on 26 carries. He was unable to punch it in the endzone, but Aaron Corp (who has been filling in for the injured Barkley Nicely) always found a way to capitalize, throwing 4 TD passes.

I will not be able to get my game in until late tonight around midnight or so. Can we please not advance until I play? I should have the game done no later than 2am so we can advance tomorrow morning or day. Would this be a problem?

The Lonestar Showdown was anything but on Friday, as the Longhorns dismissed the Aggies and finalized an 11-1 regular season. They will now sit back and watch Bedlam as OSU and OU battle it out, with a loss for Oklahoma meaning Texas would go to the Big 12 Championship game, as well as giving them a shot for a National Title birth.

Texas cb A. Williams had a career day, intercepting 3 passes in the first half, and returning each for a touchdown. "Sometimes you just gotta make em prove they can throw downfield, and until they do, you just take chances. Today I really cashed on those. I worked hard all year, and today was my payoff. Hopefully as a team we get a shot at the big one, but if not we're in great position with our record."

Meanwhile Texas A&M finishes a lackluster season on the field and looks towards the offseason for options. Not much went right in the game, save for one dive play in the 2nd quarter, going 73 yards by Chris Gray to put up the only points of the day for the Aggies. There have been rumblings in the media that Head Coach Roshaun Pesho Davis is contemplating giving up the Offensive Coordinator duties, and hiring someone to specifically take that role, although nothing has been officially announced, and there have not been any names that have surfaced. Expect to hear that decision soon though, as there aren't too many happy people within the framework of the Athletic Dept.

There is good news for the Aggies, announced on Thursday evening, on the recruiting front. If you haven't seen that, check it out @ http://www.traditionfootball.com/forums/showpost.php?p=338805&postcount=13

A&M throwing 3 Pick sixes in the first quarter eliminated the Aggie's hopes early in the game. The 4th pick also broke the hand of QB Tommy Dorman and knocked him out for the game. Also probably costing the Lornhorns any chance of retaining Aaron Williams for his senor season. The rest of the game was primarily a slow matriculation of medium gain power running. Texas now has to sit back and see if they will get a chance to play for the Big 12 championship then possibly a national title. Thanks to bizarre voting by the coaches and media polls, it seems unlikely Texas will get either.

Not sure if im going to the in-laws or not (im trying to get out of it). If I do, i wont be home until after 8pm PST.
