    UCLA – 7
    Texas - 38

Austin, TX – The UCLA Bruins went into this game with an optimistic outlook, thinking if they could control the ball and keep it close, who knows? Then the opening kick-off happened. The Texas Longhorns defeated the UCLA Bruins 38-7 in Austin, showing that they are indeed one of the top teams in the nation.

Texas would take the opening play from scrimmage 80 yards and never looked back. The Bruins found it difficult to establish any kind of offensive rhythm against the bigger, faster Longhorn defense. The four turnovers forced by that defense didn’t help the Bruin cause.

Sophomore QB Kevin Prince threw 2 picks and was harassed most of the game. The one bright spot was once again Junior HB Derrick Coleman. He had 70 yards rushing and scored the only UCLA touchdown on the day.

Next week the Bruins return home to continue their conference schedule, hosting the Washington State Cougars.

Texas cruises to victory behind tough defense and a run game that averaged 12.85 yards a carry. Texas is hoping that the 12 recruits in attendance were impressed by the team's performance.

Tough, hard fought game. Masoli threw for over 200 yards and 2tds, but also threw 2 picks. LaMicheal James scored 3 times, twice on the ground and once threw the air. James had 150 total yards of offense for the Ducks.

I had a huge problem playing this game. I've been having a problem where my xbox freezes during games...only NCAA 11 games. I was hoping the last tuning update was the problem, but I downloaded the new one this morning and it didn't help. I wound up re-tuning, which didn't help. I was almost out the door to just say "fuck it, I'm buying a new xbox", but instead I tried playing Madden, which worked no problem. So I gave it one more shot and I was able to finish the game. I think I wound up with 7 restarts...lol.

Maybe its the game? Do you have a hard drive for your xbox? Try downloading the game on that and playing it from there.

These 2 guys killed me. Once they found the hole, it was over. My lack of speed on defense left me at your will in the run game.

Tre Newton has like 83 speed, I did not expect 80 yard runs from him.

Yes, yes, yes and yes. I have reinstalled that thing so many times on my HD I want to puke.

The only thing I can actually think it could be, at this point, is that the copy of the game I bought is somehow flawed.......but that just doesn't make any sense.....they punch those games out by the thousands, so how do I get the only defective one?

No, I have the first hard drive, that's too small for more than one game.

I still get the freezes when I play from the disk.

My running back would've taken one 75 yards to the house in the 4th quarter to give me the lead back last week, had I not accidentally hit the spin button after juking the olb and then s to get clear. The spin slowed me just enough. And then on the same drive I threw that pick deep in your territory. Nuts.

Oh and by the way.....GO COUGS!!!!! :D

    BAYLOR VS RICE

The Baylor Bears took on Rice Owls this week with their new coach. Griffin put on an air show in the first half as he went 17/20 309 yards and 4 touchdowns. It looked like the Bears were on their way to roll over the Owls. Unfortunately, Griffin was taken out of the game due to strained shoulder. As of today he is out 4 weeks, but he is trying to get back on to the field as soon as possible. With the defense struggling the Bears looked like they could lose the game. Back up quarterback Florence went 5/10 with 66 yards in the air. He just could not find his passing game. It was up to the Finley and the rest of the run game to hold onto the win for Baylor. Finley had 100 yards rushing and 1 touchdown on the day. The defense looked really sloppy most of the game, but thanks to Griffin's early performance Baylor was able to hold off Rice.

The coach wants to see a better performance out of his defense next game as they let up 347 yards. The young quarterback needs to step up and be the leader on offense so that they can make up for their weak defense. Baylor did not score once on offense in the second half. It is going to be a difficult next couple of weeks if Florence can't get the offense to produce. Tune in next week to see how Florence does when Baylor takes on Kansas.

With HB Clay out one more week, it wasnt a good time to be playing #7 Oklahoma. Another week we were unable to run the ball, which forced us to become one dimensional. The game didnt start off well, as Tolzien threw a pick to LB Lewis which gave OU short feild and eventually 6 points. OU ran the ball effectively, enabling my defense to be on its heels. The D was also unable to get off the field on 3rd down. WR Anderson was a lone bright spot, as he was able to haul in 2 TDs. Toon was held in check catches wise, all though he did have 114 yards and 1 score where he tiptoed the sideline, stayed in, and outran the D. OU's man defense was top notch. Constantly I tried to throw deep only to have a DB knock it down. O felt with better play calls I could have won it, but Im sure thats what everyone says after a game. Hindsight is perfect vision. The Badgers came close to coming back, tying the score 28 all in the 4th, but Murray was able to bust out a big TD run, ending all chances for the win. Luckily, losing to a #7 team wont hurt my rankings severely, and Wisconsin starts Big 10 play vs Mich St, looking for a run at the Big 10 championship.

    #7 Oklahoma 42 - #5 Wisconsin 28

Nice job getting the user games in early this week. If the CPU games can get knocked out tonight, I can advance us (I think Arizona and Michigan still have games left)
