    2011 PENNANT RACE

    AL EAST

    [IMG] 18-9
The Boston Red Sox find themselves on top of the AL East with only 3 games left in the season against division rivals the New York Yankees. These two games will be huge for the Bo Sox as the Tampa Bay Rays are nipping at their heels 2.5 games back.

    AL CENTRAL

    [IMG] 15-9
The Detroit Tigers have been on a terror all season long as their bats have carried them to a superior record and division leading record in arguably the toughest divisions in the TCBL. With 3 double headers against Minnesota, Cleveland, and the White Sox it is make or break time for this ball club.

    AL WEST

    [IMG] 18-9
Surprise, surprise, the Athletics have clinched the AL West with a 3.5 game cushion over the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. This marks the first time the Athletics have made the playoffs since 1994.

    WILDCARD

The White Sox have really picked it up lately with a strong second half performance. With some key wins over the Red Sox and Royals, the White Sox are in contention for the AL Central title. They sit in a good position with 7 games left to really make some noise. If they fail to continue their solid play they will plunder to the bottom of the AL Central and out of the playoffs.

    [IMG] 15-11
The Tampa Bay Rays are still in a battle for the AL East but are in good shape to nab the AL Wildcard spot. With 4 games left (@Bal, Bal, @NYY, NYY) the Rays look to win out and host one of the best records in this years TCBL season. Of course, with 4 losses, the Rays will find themselves behind the 8ball.

    [IMG] 13-12
The Royals are exceeding expectations this season and GM MG is crossing his fingers for many Rays, Tigers, and White Sox losses. If the Royals take care of business and get some help from division rivals, they will sneak their way into the playoffs.

    [IMG] 16-13
The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have no chance at the AL West title, but are very much in the hunt for the wildcard. With 1 game remaining against the NYY, if they are to get a victory they will be looking at an outside chance of getting the Wildcard spot, depending on the fiasco in the AL West and East.

    2011 PENNANT RACE

    NL EAST

    [IMG] 15-11
Everyone knew the Phillies would be back with another stellar season, what we didn't think was that the race would be so tight in the NL East. The New York Mets have turned some heads and are a mere 1 game behind the Phillies with 4 games left in the season. The Atlanta Braves aren't too far behind as they are 2 games behind. Alot can happen in this final week as the Phillies have tough games against the Dodgers, Giants, and Marlins.

    NL CENTRAL

    [IMG] 12-6
The Cubs currently have the best record in baseball and have no hopes of letting that slip. With only a 1.5 game lead on the Brewers, the Cubs don't have a lot of room for error so they will need to finish the season strong, but will clinch a NL Central title with 6 more wins. GTG, who represented the NL in teh All Star game, is having an incredible year and looks to finish it out strong.

    NL WEST

    [IMG] 14-7
The Dodgers have the second best record in baseball and unfortunately also two losses to the Cubs in their two game series. The race in the NL West is very tight with the Padres only 1.5 games behind, the Rockies 3.5 games behind, and the Giants 4 games behind with a very important doubleheader against the Dodgers this weekend. The Dodgers have a lot of work to do if they want to remain ontop, as the NL West appears to be the most loose division in the National League.

    WILDCARD

    [IMG] 16-12
The Padres don't have a lot of voodoo magic left in the old shop, all of its been about used as they have been absolutely mashing the ball this year. Things took a bad turn as the Padres lost a 10 inning heartbreaker to the Dodgers last week with their #1 (Aaron Harang) on the hill. With 2 games remaining for them in the season, their best hope is to win out and cross their fingers for the Wildcard slot. Their #1 threat right now is the San Francisco Giants.

    [IMG] 15-12
The Milwaukee Brewers have almost no chance at the NL Central, but a decent shot at the Wildcard. Like the Padres, they will need to win out but the San Francisco Giants success in the next week will dictate where they stand at the end of the year.

    [IMG] 15-13
The New York Mets are overachieving this year as they are biting at the Phillies heels. With 2 games left in the season, the Phillies will need to lose out for the Mets to get a chance at the title, but as long as they win out they have a great shot at getting into the playoffs. That won't be easy as they have games against the Nationals that will be huge for the ball club.

    [IMG] 14-13
The Cardinals are proving that the Wildcard race in the NL is very tight and tough as they too have an outside shot of getting in. If they handle business in their last 3 games, they will be deadlocked with the Mets, Brewers, and possibly the Padres
