    Clemson - 55 | Wake Forest - 21

Started the season with a 2-3 back system, early league leading rusher Andre Ellington went down against the Tar Heels with a broken elbow, so we moved "Hot Rod" McDowell into his position to split the snaps with bulldozer Jamie Harper. It worked well against an over matched Wake Forest team. Clemson's O-Line was dominate with sealing the edges, the receivers did a good job blocking and so did full back Chad Diehl leading the running lanes. QB Kyle Parker didn't have much to do with the ground game being so dominant. The Tigers defense gave up a few big plays early but quite a few near the end of the game. It was a great performance by the offensive line but the defense needs to get better, they can't stop anyone right now
