The engineering nerds at Georgia Tech won the opening toss and elected to kick off. That would be one of their only highlights of the day. Georgia went 80 yards on 15 plays in their opening drive and the crowd in Athens went ballistic. On their first drive, GT would gain 1 first down, but would be forced to punt the ball away. QB Aaron Murray threw an INT on the next drive and left the Yellowjackets with a short field. Georgia Tech would score to tie the game at 7. Murray would battle back for two straight long TD passes. The defense played well and held GT to 85 yards in the first half. The Bulldogs took a 21-7 lead into halftime.

In the second half, both the defense and Murray continued their play from the first half. Murray added 2 more TD. There was no scoring in the 4th quarter by either team, as Georgia's second defense held GT on a 4th and long inside the redzone.

The Bulldogs rolled into Kinnick and put on a display of SEC speed. On offense, the Bulldogs ran a balanced attack. On defense, Georgia's line was in the backfield early and often and the defensive backs did not give up any huge plays and took advantage of some errant throws by Iowa's QB.

The Bulldogs travel to Knoxville and win an SEC slobberknocker 21-14 in front of 100,000+ fans. The tone of the game was set early, as a Volunteer drive stalled and ended with a missed 35 yard field goal. Georgia would follow that up by marching down the field on a 22 play 8 minute drive for a TD. The Bulldogs made another defensive stop and scored a TD towards the end of the half, going up 14-0. Georgia would score on their second possession of the second half to go up 21-0. However, they almost went conservative too early, as the Tenneesse crowd willed their team to 14 straight 4th quarter points. Georgia was able to ice the game with a couple first downs in the last minutes.

Georgia raced out to a 30-0 lead with the team firing on all cylinders in front of the home fans in Athens. UGA brought in the bomb squad to play the fourth quarter and they did their best to lose the game. Georgia suffers defeats in back to back years to Florida. Brantley was lights out for Florida, completing 22 of 28 pass attempts and 4 of those incompletions were at the end of the first half hail mary plays. Brantley channeled the power of Jesus (Tebow) to throw through defenders multiple times. Also, HB Demps broke 2-3 tackles on every single play. For Georgia, the receiving corps dropped multiple balls and the defenders were able to increase their vertical leap to about 60" for this game. Overall, it was a frustrating game.

    Statistics

-So QB Aaron Murray 20-39 304 TD
    -Jr HB Washaun Ealey 7-38

Yes, but my QB Murray is a RS So, so he may leave, as well. My backup QB is a senior and my third teamer has a 62 ranking. Next year may be a long season.

The Bulldogs drop their second straight rivalry game, 14-12 to Auburn in a hard hitting game. Both teams played conservatively on offense and the defenses were up to the task of not giving up the big play. There was only 1 turnover in the game, with Auburn QB Cam Newton throwing an INT at the end of the first half. The biggest play of the game occurred in the 4th quarter, as Georgia scored to make the score 14-12 and needed to go for 2 to tie it. The Bulldogs put the ball in QB Aaron Murray's hands in the option game and it looked like he pitched the ball to HB Washaun Ealey, when it looked like he could have taken it himself for the conversion. Ealey was stopped at the 1 and the onside kick failed.

    Statistics
-So QB Aaron Murray 15-23 138
    -Jr HB Washaun Ealey 10-111
-Sr HB Caleb King 7-30 TD

I think I have clinched a spot in the East. I beat both the teams with 3 losses and I'm currently sitting at 1 loss with 1 SEC game to play.

The Bulldogs went into the Big Outhouse and stole the momentum early. Georgia received the opening kickoff and threw a 55 yard TD to TE Orson Charles who was manned up against a linebacker. On the ensuing tSUN possession, they were driving, but Forcier threw an INT in the endzone. Two plays later, Georgia was up 14-0 on an 84 yard TD pass to Tavarres King. The Georgia defense stopped tSUN on the following possession and Georgia drove the ball down the field for a 21-0 lead. Michigan scored in the 2nd quarter, after converting a 4th and 13 from the UGA 46. Denard Robinson scored on the next play from the 4. Georgia got the ball back with about 2 minutes to go and drove the ball down the field for a 45 yard FG to end the half to take a 24-7 lead.

Georgia moves its record to 3-0 against Big Ten teams this year, blowing out Michigan State 38-17 in the Outback Bowl. The Bulldogs defense swarmed in the first half, limiting MSU to only 69 yards of offense.
