    You guessed it folks, it's back! Since we haven't started the season let's take a look at the each teams candidate for the EVO HEISMAN! Who do you think will win?

    [​IMG] Sam McGuffie RB Touted running back who transferred to Rice after one season at Michigan. At Michigan, played in 10 games and starting six contests at superback ... team's second-leading rusher and third-leading receiver ... carried 118 times for 486 yards and three touchdowns, caught 19 passes for 175 yards and one TD.
    [​IMG] Brynn Harvey RB Started all 12 games he played in, and led the team in rushing yards each game...Led the team in rushing attempts (261), rushing yards (1,109), and rushing touchdowns (14).

    [​IMG] Donald Buckram RB UTEP's ninth-leading all-time rusher with 2,082 yards entering his senior year ... also tied for sixth place in career 100-yard games (nine) and seventh in rushing touchdowns (20). First team All-Conference USA and UTEP's Offensive MVP. Shattered a UTEP single-season rushing record that had stood for over 60 years, running for 1,594 yards on 259 carries (6.2 avg).
    [​IMG] Greg Salas WR First-team all-WAC. Selected to the watch list for the Fred Biletnikoff Award. Finished fourth nationally in receiving yards per game (122.3) and sixth in receptions per game (8.15), both of which led the WAC…tallied 100-plus yards receiving in eight games…team-high 106 catches for 1,590 yards and eight touchdowns on the year…the 1,590 receiving yards is the second-highest single-season total in school history…one of only four players to reach 100 catches in a season…averaged 15.0 yards per catch…had 17 catches of 25-plus yards.
    [​IMG] Marquise Avery WR Avery led the receiving core with 42 catches for 465 yards with 6 TD's last season.
    [​IMG] Phillip Livas WR Caught 43 passes for 607 yards and two scores ... Averaged 14.1 yards per catch. Rushed the ball 30 times for 337 yards and two scores. Ranks No. 1 in WAC and No. 18 in the nation in all-purpose yards per game (155.0 ypg). 32 kick returns is third most in a season in Tech history ... Second most kick return yardage in a season (826). Fifth most career kickoff return yards (1,274). Third most all-purpose yards in a season (2,019). Third Tech player ever to accomplish over 2,000 all-purpose yards in a season.

    [​IMG] Ryan Lindley QB Team offensive MVP. Started 11 contests in his first year of competition. Threw for 2,653 yards and 16 touchdowns. Four games with 300+ yards passing. Ranked 24th nationally in passing average and 42nd in total offense.
    [​IMG] Austyn Carta-Samuels QB Austyn Carta-Samuels led his Bellarmine College Prep team to a 12-1 record, the West Catholic Athletic League title and a Central Coast Championship in 2008. Bellarmine was ranked No. 1 in Northern California. Carta-Samuels earned First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-County honors. Rivals.com ranked Wyoming's combination of Carta-Samuels and junior-college QB signee Robert Benjamin as the No. 15 best quarterback recruiting class in the nation in '09. Rivals.com ranks Carta-Samuels as the No. 22 best dual-threat high school quarterback in the nation.
    [​IMG] Tim Jefferson QB Played in 10 games, starting the last eight ... MWC Freshman of the Year ... recorded a 5-3 record as a starter ... became just the fourth freshman starting quarterback in school history. Rushed for 387 yards and three touchdowns and averaged 3.8 yards per carry on the year with 44 of 80 passes completed for 655 yards with five touchdowns and three interceptions. Ranked third in the conference with a136.90 quarterback efficiency rating.
