    Navy falls to Miami

    Week 1

    Miami 42

    Navy 14

This game was almost a shut out but Navy suddenly found a rhythm in the 4th quarter and put up two TD's. The U defense was all over the option attack that was expected from Navy and held them to just 29 yards on the day, they did manage to include a score in that though. At halftime they had -12 yards rushing. It was a monster day for the defensive line as they swarmed over the ball. But the pass defense was a different story as they allowed 311 yards and one receiver had 200 of them, it was an ugly day as several picks were dropped or jumps were mere hops. It wouldn't matter though, the Canes held them at bay. Miami's offense was huge today as passing and rushing were successful, Benjamin only had 2 receptions but took both of them for TD's. Newly starting HB Miller had a 100+ yard rushing day with a pair of scores.

Miami starts off the season with a win putting them at 1-0 and travel all the way to the other side of the country to face USC in Week 2, a sure challenge for them.
