Well, today marks an exciting day for the fans in Baton Rouge and Bayou Bengal nation. The Tigers are excited about getting back on the field after coming off a dominant win over Texas A&M. Last year's performance was not the expectation the Tigers had for themselves. They could not get it together at the QB position. This year's expectation are high with most of the team still intact from the previous year. The big question is, what will happen at the QB position? Offense: Senior starting QB Jordan Jefferson, is out to prove that he belongs as the starter but with new junior college transfer Zach Mettenberger is ready to take the job. with Steven Ridley gone there will be some big shoes to fill but, Spencer Ware is up for the challenge at RB. Senior WR Tolliver is a big receiver 6'3" and is ready to do big things this year. It will be interesting to see how the offense fairs this year Defense: The Tiger's defense is a stable of thoroughbreds. The defense returning is young but most of them were starters from last year. The defense was made up of freshmen and sophomores, making this team to be reckoned with for some years to come. With the lost of star CornerBack Patrick Peterson and Safety Chad Jones, people may think that the secondary will be hurting in Death Valley, but after last years performance from Cornerbacks Mathieu, and Claiborne and Safety Taylor and Reid, the secondary will not miss a beat and the fans may ask, "What were the guys names that played cornerback and safety last year?" Needs this year: 1 C , 1 FB, 1 OLB, 1 QB, 1 TE There are 14 seniors and 69 on Roster. 14 scholarships to offer +1 for Roster and + 2 for the league giving the Tigers a grand total of 17. this will be an exciting year for first year coach Eberdeeber. When asked what he thinks about his squad he said " Woogady boogady! Geaux Tigers!" . He may have adopted somethings from the Mad Hatter. Geaux Tigers!!!!
