    Week 2 - #12 Michigan 49 - Notre Dame 21

Michigan Beats Up Notre Dame in the Ugliest Game of Coach Jello's Career

Michigan had no problems with the Irish in Ann Arbor as they crushed them 49-21. They hung 28 on the Irish in the 2nd quarter to take a 35-14 lead at the half and coasted from there. It was a very ugly game, however, as the 2 teams combined for:
    7 penalties for 99 yards
    8 punts
    7 turnovers, including 5 fumbles lost (Michigan's 2 fumbles were responsible for 14 of ND's 21 points)
    8 sacks allowed

On top of this, ND will be without their starting QB (who's the only one worth a damn on their team) for at least 2 weeks. On the bright side, their crappy backups combined for 25 of 30 passing for 321 yards and 2 TDs.

Michigan's defense, which had only allowed 11 yards rushing against EMU, held ND to -12 yards, giving them -1 rushing yards allowed on the season (but we won't talk about the 360 passing yards they gave up to ND). Once again Denard Robinson was deadly through the air while backup Devin Gardner was deadly on the ground as he led the team in rushing yards for the 2nd straight week.

Next week Michigan will begin their stretch of playing on the road against 3 straight top 10 teams as they will face defending champs #6 West Virginia.

    Week 3
    #11 Michigan 49
    #4 West Virginia 7

Game of the week my ass! Denard Robinson was hurt during the game and while he was hurt, backup Devin Gardner was knocked out of the game, so we had to play #3 FR Jackson so he can't redshirt. Other than that, WVU sucked ass and wasn't much tougher (@ West Virginia) than was Eastern Michigan.

Next up, we travel to Austin to face the Longhorns who've had this game circled on their calendar for 51 weeks. There's no doubt that they'll be fired up for the game.

    Week 6
    #6 Michigan 27
    #14 Wisconsin 20

Koger and the Wolverines are relieved after a near mishap against Wisconsin

Michigan traveled to Camp Randall to face their 3rd top 15 road game in a row and survived 5 freakin' turnovers (including 3 costly fumbles) to win, 27-20. Starting QB Denard Robinson stunk up the joint as he only completed 2 of 10 passes before getting yanked by coach Jello early in the 2nd quarter. His backup proceeded to complete 8 of 12 for 193 yards and 2 TDs.

Make sure you check out the 3rd highlight. This was with just under 2 minutes remaining in the game with Michigan leading by 7. They have the ball on their own 30 and are trying to run out the clock when the play in this highlight happened.

Next week Michigan will get a very much needed reprieve from their brutal opening schedule as they will destroy the Hoosiers of Indiana, despite their 4-1 record.

    Week 7
    Michigan 35
    Indiana 10

Michigan beat up Indiana as their starting D only allowed 3 points and their 2nd team D gave up a meaningless TD late in the game. Michigan's O got it done on the ground as 9 guys combined for 200 yards and 4 rushing TDs.

Next up they will travel in East Lansing to face the hated Spartans, surely in front of several potential MSU recruits.
